Method of adapting electronic equipment structure for cable management
A method of adapting an electronic equipment structure for cable management, the method comprising: providing a cable manager having one or more cable finger units extending from a frame, the frame including at least one spine member having an extruded construction and one or more ledges that extend along a length thereof; providing an accessory rod assembly having a base member and an accessory rod, wherein the base member includes a front-facing socket, a rear-facing hook, and a rotatable knob having a threaded end received within a threaded portion at a side of the base member, and wherein the accessory rod has an extruded construction and a generally uniform, at least partially cylindrical, cross-sectional shape; positioning the rear-facing hook of the base member against one side of the one or more ledges of the at least one spine member; rotating the rotatable knob such that the threaded end is wound within the threaded portion of the base member and bears on an opposite side of the one or more ledges of the at least one spine member, thereby clamping the at least one spine member between the rear-facing hook and the rotatable knob; and positioning a proximal end of the accessory rod within the front-facing socket of the base member such that the accessory rod extends therefrom into a cable management space.
Method of installing half-spool accessory in a cable manager
A cable manager includes a backbone assembly and at least one side wall extending from the backbone assembly. The at least one side wall optionally includes one or more cable finger units. The backbone assembly includes a spine member having an extruded construction. The spine member includes one or more channels extending substantially an entire length thereof to facilitate easy attachment, removal and/or repositioning of a structure relative to the spine member. The cable manager optionally includes an accessory rod, a half-spool assembly, a cable finger accessory, a strap/buckle accessory, and/or a door assembly having an interference-free hinge set.
Quick-Threaded Rod Locking Device and Method
A device for securing threaded rod relative to concrete and plywood forms is provided. The device can include a housing with a securement portion and a plurality of plungers to engage with the threaded rod. The securement portion can be slidably received in a base configured to be seated on a setting structure. Fasteners can secure the device to the setting structure. A tapered portion of the housing can engage the plungers to secure a threaded rod.
ANCHOR CHANNEL AND COMBINATION OF ANCHOR CHANNEL AND HAMMERHEAD ELEMENT
An anchor channel of C-shaped cross-section for embedding in concrete, wherein a lip which adjoins the slot-like opening has been reinforced. In order to achieve high holding forces against withdrawal of a hammerhead element, a setting angle assumes a maximum value in a region that is located closer to the side wall than to the opening.
Features for cable managers and other electronic equipment structures
A cable manager includes a backbone assembly and at least one side wall extending from the backbone assembly. The at least one side wall optionally includes one or more cable finger units. The backbone assembly includes a spine member having an extruded construction. The spine member includes one or more channels extending substantially an entire length thereof to facilitate easy attachment, removal and/or repositioning of a structure relative to the spine member. The cable manager optionally includes an accessory rod, a half-spool assembly, a cable finger accessory, a strap/buckle accessory, and/or a door assembly having an interference-free hinge set.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat includes: a first member; a second member; an insertion fastening structure configured to apply an axial tension to an opposed surface portion of the first member and an opposed surface portions of the second member so as to be pressed against each other; and an adjustment member. The opposed surface portion of the second member includes different surface shape portions facing respective surfaces toward directions different from an application direction of the axial tension, and the adjustment member plastically deforms the opposed surface portion of the second member such that the opposed surface portion of the second member, including the different surface shape portions, is pressed and sandwiched between the adjustment member and the opposed surface portion of the first member by the application of the axial tension.
Clamp Apparatuses and Components Thereof for Mounting Solar Panel Modules
A clamp assembly includes a clamp with a lateral edge support portion that extends in a first direction to support against a lateral edge of the module. A flange extends in a second direction transverse to the first direction to clamp against an upper surface of the solar panel module in coordination with the lateral edge support portion. A nut is configured to align with the clamp. The nut receives a fastener. The nut has an outer surface to engage the second surface of the lateral edge support portion to prevent rotation of the nut. A connection member extends from the nut in a position that is fixed. A head of the connection member is shaped such that, in a first orientation, the head is accommodated passage through a slot in the intermediary member, and in a second orientation, the head is prevented from passage through the slot.
Fastener nut for channel framing
A fastener nut for securing a part to channel framing defining at least one internal, generally T-shaped track extending lengthwise of the channel framing. The fastener nut includes a nut body, and first and second wings extending longitudinally outward from respective first and second longitudinal ends of the body. The first and second wings having respective terminal ends defining an effective wing span therebetween that is greater than the length of the body such that at least a portion of the fastener nut has a generally T-shaped side profile. The fastener nut is insertable in the generally T-shaped track of the channel framing to allow the fastener nut to slide along the length of the channel framing and to restrict transverse movement of the fastener nut in the interior, relative to length of the framing, for use in positioning the fastener nut along the channel framing.
TRANSVERSELY CLAMPABLE LINEAR ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM
In certain embodiments, a linear adjustment mechanism includes an adjustment plate, an adjustment nut, and a holding plate. The adjustment plate has an exterior-threaded section that engages with the adjustment nut, a mounting-bolt opening, and a clamping-bolt slot. The holding plate has a horizontal section having a clamping-bolt opening, a vertical section connected to the horizontal section, and an adjustment-nut opening. With (i) the adjustment nut engaged with the adjustment-nut opening and the exterior-threaded section of the adjustment plate and (ii) the clamping bolt inserted within (a) the clamping-bolt slot of the adjustment plate and (b) the clamping-bolt opening of the holding plate, (1) rotation of the adjustment nut on the exterior-threaded section of the adjustment adjusts the linear position of the adjustment plate relative to the holding plate and (2) rotation of the clamping bolt secures the linear position of the adjustment plate relative to the holding plate.
METHOD OF INSTALLING CABLE FINGER ACCESSORY IN A CABLE MANAGER
A method of installing a cable finger accessory in a cable manager includes: positioning a first semi-arcuate clamp section against a section of an extruded support member of the cable manager; positioning a second semi-arcuate clamp section, which is hingedly connected to the first semi-arcuate clamp section, against an opposite side of the section of the extruded support member such that, together, the first and second semi-arcuate generally surround the section of the extruded support member; and fastening a clamp mechanism connected to a distal end of the first semi-arcuate clamp section and adapted to secure the distal end of the first semi-arcuate clamp section against a distal end of the second semi-arcuate clamp section such that the first and second semi-arcuate clamp sections are secured against the section of the extruded support member. The cable finger extends outwardly from at least one of the first and second semi-arcuate clamp sections.
