FASTENING SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION LINE REPAIR DEVICE

A fastening system has a conditioner clamp and a penetrating fastener. The conditioner clamp has an upper assembly and a lower assembly attachable together to define a conductor cavity therebetween. At least one threaded opening provides ingress into the conductor cavity. The penetrating fastener is extendable through the at least one threaded opening. The penetrating fastener has a threaded bolt and a penetrating portion with a proximal end at a second end region of the threaded bolt and a distal end spaced therefrom. The penetrating portion has a frustoconical configuration terminating at a tip portion. The tip portion is configured to penetrate into a conductor positioned within the conductor cavity.

Features for cable managers and other electronic equipment structures

A cable manager includes a backbone assembly and at least one side wall extending from the backbone assembly. The at least one side wall optionally includes one or more cable finger units. The backbone assembly includes a spine member having an extruded construction. The spine member includes one or more channels extending substantially an entire length thereof to facilitate easy attachment, removal and/or repositioning of a structure relative to the spine member. The cable manager optionally includes an accessory rod, a half-spool assembly, a cable finger accessory, a strap/buckle accessory, and/or a door assembly having an interference-free hinge set.

Structural fastener

A U-shaped clamp to attach or snap a conduit or pipe to a slotted structural member. The U-shaped clamp includes a bottom portion, a first side having a first wing connected to the bottom portion; a second side having a second wing connected to the bottom portion thereby forming a U-shaped structure with the first and second sides. The at least one wing snaps into a strut ledge or a rolled edge of the structural member when in an engaged position. The structural member may be a strut or a receiver. The wings engage and snap into curled ends or lips on sides of the strut and thus may adapt the pipe clamp to the strut. Alternatively, the U-shaped clamp may snap into suitably sized strut ledges or a rolled edges on the structural member.

Sliding track connector
11808399 · 2023-11-07 ·

A sliding track connector for mounting objects to a track member using a twist or zip ties. The connector includes a body with a bottom surface, outer sidewalls, a center void, and a plurality of transversely aligned holes. In one embodiment, a post extends downward from the body's bottom surface and slides freely inside the slot formed on the track member. Attached to the post is a wide cap that, when twisted, presses against the inside surfaces of the flanges formed on opposite sides of the slot. In one embodiment, the post and cap are integrally formed on the body so that when the body is rotated, the post rotates inside the channel, and the cap becomes wedged against the flanges on opposite sides of the slot. One or two twist ties are inserted through the holes on the body to hold an object on the track member.

Panel mount base

A panel mounting device base and kit therefor are described herein. The described base comprises: a lower member, an upper member, a surface fastener, and a connecting fastener. The profile of the lower member and the profile of the upper member are identical, and the lower member and the upper member are rotated about its longitudinal axis 180 degrees relative to each other and attached to form the base. The base is secured to a surface, and the base receives a panel mounting device to retain a panel.

Method of installing cable finger accessory in a cable manager

A method of installing a cable finger accessory in a cable manager includes: positioning a first semi-arcuate clamp section against a section of an extruded support member of the cable manager; positioning a second semi-arcuate clamp section, which is hingedly connected to the first semi-arcuate clamp section, against an opposite side of the section of the extruded support member such that, together, the first and second semi-arcuate generally surround the section of the extruded support member; and fastening a clamp mechanism connected to a distal end of the first semi-arcuate clamp section and adapted to secure the distal end of the first semi-arcuate clamp section against a distal end of the second semi-arcuate clamp section such that the first and second semi-arcuate clamp sections are secured against the section of the extruded support member. The cable finger extends outwardly from at least one of the first and second semi-arcuate clamp sections.

METHOD OF INSTALLING HALF-SPOOL ACCESSORY IN A CABLE MANAGER

A cable manager includes a backbone assembly and at least one side wall extending from the backbone assembly. The at least one side wall optionally includes one or more cable finger units. The backbone assembly includes a spine member having an extruded construction. The spine member includes one or more channels extending substantially an entire length thereof to facilitate easy attachment, removal and/or repositioning of a structure relative to the spine member. The cable manager optionally includes an accessory rod, a half-spool assembly, a cable finger accessory, a strap/buckle accessory, and/or a door assembly having an interference-free hinge set.

Compliant hanger assembly

Provided herein is a fastener that may be used to secure objects to a channel strut or attach a channel strut to a structure. In an arrangement, the fastener is a fastener block configured for disposition within the interior of a channel strut. The fastener block has a body that includes at least one aperture, which may be threaded, extending through the fastener block between upper and lower surfaces. A fastener receptacle may be formed around the aperture. A standard nut or bolt may be inserted into the fastener receptacle.

RAIL ACCESSORY MOUNT

A u-shaped clamp that includes offset bends at distal ends, accepts a threaded fastener through two apertures, where tightening the fastener brings two flanges of the u-shaped clamp together to grip a wire, a cable or a pipe. An offset bend on one end of one flange serves to hold a wire or cable in position until the fastener is tightened.
