A component assembly includes a workpiece and at least one elastic member. The workpiece defines an axis, and has two ends opposite to each other along the axis, and an axial hole extending through the ends. The at least one elastic member is made of an elastic material and has a ring shape. The at least one elastic member is disposed on and abuts against one of the ends of the workpiece, and surrounds the axial hole.

ANCHORING OF CONNECTOR ELEMENT

A method of anchoring a lightweight building element having a first building layer and an interlining layer distally of the first building layer, and possibly a second building layer distally of the interlining layer. For anchoring, the the distal end of a connector element is inserted into a mounting hole in the lightweight building element, and also a sleeve including a thermoplastic material is inserted into the mounting hole, the sleeve enclosing the connector element. Then, a distally facing liquefaction face of the sleeve is caused to be in contact with a proximally facing support face of the connector element. Energy impinges to liquefy at least a flow portion of the thermoplastic material of the sleeve, and the liquefaction face is pressed against the support face to cause at least a fraction of the flow portion to flow radially outward. After the flow portion has re-solidified, it anchors the connector element in the receiving object.

A SUPPORT FOR A GUDGEON
20210140464 · 2021-05-13 ·

This invention relates to a support for a gudgeon. It is known to hang gates on posts by way of gudgeons. Over time the load and movement of the gate may cause the gudgeon to loosen. In this regard the hole that the gudgeon is screwed into becomes ‘over-sized’ due to wear and tear. This may necessitate replacing the gudgeon, or screwing it into another part of the post. It is an object of a preferred embodiment of the invention to address this problem. In this regard there is a support having a hub and a series of spikes. The gudgeon passes through the hub and the spikes are imbedded in a post. The arrangement is such that the support 1 takes up at least some tipping force on the gudgeon.

INTERFACE FOR FASTENING A FIRST COMPONENT TO A SECOND COMPONENT COMPRISING A COLLAR MADE FROM COMPOSITE MATERIAL, BEARING UNIT COMPRISING SUCH AN INTERFACE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH AN INTERFACE
20210131496 · 2021-05-06 ·

Interface for fastening a first component to a second component providing a fastening collar made from composite material intended to be overmoulded at least on a part of the first component and including a bearing surface intended to bear on the second component and a fastening insert extending along an axis of elongation substantially perpendicular to the bearing surface of the collar for fastening to the second component, the fastening collar being overmoulded around the insert.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ANCHORING FASTENERS

An apparatus for anchoring fasteners includes a shaft, a guide disk and a flange. The shaft extends in an axial direction between a proximal end and a distal end. The shaft has an internally threaded axial bore, and at least one outer surface thread. The guide disk is disposed at the distal end of, and coaxially with, the shaft. The first disk has a first diameter that is less than a major diameter of the at least one outer surface thread, and greater than a minor diameter of the at least one outer surface thread. The flange is disposed at the proximal end of the shaft, and has a width exceeding the first diameter. The flange includes a drive feature configured to engage a drive tool.

COMPONENT WITH TOLERANCE COMPENSATION FUNCTION

A component has a base bushing, which has a first axial end and an opposite second axial end and a first inner diameter, wherein the base bushing is equipped with a first internal thread with a first thread direction, and has a fastening bushing, which has a third axial end and an opposite fourth axial end and a second inner diameter. The fastening bushing is equipped with a second internal thread with a second thread direction which is opposite to the first thread direction, wherein the second inner diameter is smaller than the first inner diameter and the base bushing and the fastening bushing are separate elements and are arranged coaxially with respect to one another in the component. Alternatively, the base bushing and the fastening bushing are formed as a single piece.

Semiconductor device

An object of the present invention is to provide a semiconductor device having a structure in which a resin hardly enters between an insert electrode and a nut at a time of resin sealing. The semiconductor device according to the present invention includes an insert electrode having an insert hole into which a bolt is inserted from outside, a nut which has a screw hole to be screwed with the bolt and is disposed on an inside of the insert electrode so that the screw hole is communicated with the insert hole, at least one semiconductor element being electrically connected to the insert electrode, and a resin sealing the inside of the insert electrode, the nut, and the at least one semiconductor element, wherein a burr is provided on an outer periphery of a direct contact surface of the nut being in direct contact with the insert electrode.

ADJUSTABLE POTTED INSERT
20210040969 · 2021-02-11 ·

The present disclosure relates to a two-part adjustable potted insert to be received within an insert hole of a honeycomb panel for fastening a threaded fastener thereon. The insert comprises an outer structural member which is configured to be received within the insert hole, and an inner structural member in a releasable engagement with the outer structural member. The outer structural member comprises an external main body which defines an external surface configured to resist pull-out and torque-out to retain the outer structural member in the honeycomb panel when inserted in the insert hole, a threaded opening within the external main body which defines a bottom surface, and a locking recess formed within the bottom surface.

Insert fastener with a compression sleeve

A two-part fastener with an insert and a compression sleeve. The insert is an internally-threaded fastener intended to be installed into a hole of a very hard panel. The insert itself is relatively hard with a knurled outer barrel portion and a flange at the bottom. A compression sleeve is made of relatively soft material and is preassembled around the barrel of the insert by friction fit. Upon installation into a panel with a blind hole having parallel sides, the compression sleeve is pressed into the panel and deforms outwardly between the insert and the side wall of the hole. Friction between the compression sleeve and the wall of the hole prevents torque out and pull out of the fastener from the panel.

Plate nut assembly

The present invention provides a plate nut assembly including a nut having a threaded hole; and a tab including a bifurcated portion and a fixed portion. A nut insertion hole is formed in a hollow member such that the diameter of the nut insertion hole is larger than the transverse width of the nut. By bending the tab, the nut can be located inside of the inner surface of the hollow member with the threaded hole opposed to the nut insertion hole. The transverse width of the bifurcated portion of the tab is larger than the transverse width of nut. When the nut is inserted through the nut insertion hole until the nut is located inside of the inner surface of the hollow member, the outer side edges of the bifurcated portion in its transverse width direction come into contact with the nut insertion hole.
