Jam nut lock for rod ends and the like
Lock mechanism for preventing unwanted rotation of a jam nut on a threaded connection between a rod end and a connecting rod. The mechanism includes a lock collar which can be moved axially of the rod end and the connecting rod between a retracted position out of contact with the jam nut and a locking position in which the collar engages the jam nut and prevents the jam nut from turning, and a retainer for keeping the lock collar in the locking position.
SINGLE POINT ACTUATION LOW-PROFILE LOCK RING FOR A MECHANICAL SEAL
A mechanical seal that employs a lock ring assembly having associated therewith a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism can include a nut element, such as a barrel nut, that allows an associated bolt element to adjust a tightening load and position while clamping occurs of the components of the mechanical seal. This adjustment flexibility removes or reduces unwanted bending stresses in the bolt element, thus allowing for more torque to translate directly to the lock ring. The barrel nut allows for more material to remain in the lock ring, thus providing for additional overall strength relative to a traditional locking element. The lock ring also includes a plurality of flex regions in the form of notches that allow the lock ring to flex when the main body is tightened about the shaft.

Positive locking fastener
The invention relates to a positive locking fastener comprising: a screw (1) having a cavity (110) at a threaded portion (11); a nut (2) having a tightening portion (21); a first cap (3); a second cap (4); and a pin (5). The first cap is suitable for being inserted into the cavity of the threaded portion. The second cap has a locking portion (402) intended to engage with the first cap and a blocking portion (401) intended to engage with a tightening portion (21) of the nut. The locking portion of said second cap comprises openings (4020) suitable for allowing the pin to be inserted through said openings in order to hold the first cap and the second cap together. The invention also relates to a method for implementing the fastener according to the invention.

Bolt provided with an anti-rotation device
A bolt comprising a threaded shaft having at least one helical thread and at least one longitudinal groove, a nut having a tapped hole configured to be screwed onto the threaded shaft, and at least one diagonal slot which includes a first opening end and a second non-opening end. The diagonal slot is inclined from the first end towards the second end in the same direction as the helical thread of the threaded shaft. An anti-rotation device is configured to rotationally immobilize the nut with respect to the threaded shaft and comprises a ring which surrounds at least the threaded shaft and which has at least one first toe configured to be housed in the longitudinal groove of the threaded shaft and in the diagonal slot of the nut, in operation.
Retaining device for a threaded member, in particular for a nut
A nut is prevented from turning during screwing by a body attached to one of the parts to be tightened by rivets. The body prevents the nut from rotating via a ring coupled without clearance with the nut and coupled with radial clearance to the body, in order to allow the nut to self-position itself along the axis imposed on the screw by the bores traversed by the screw. The nut can thus be a standard nut or a floating cage nut. Application to the retaining of nuts that are inaccessible and/or require a high level of security against unintentional unscrewing.
Positive locking fastener
The invention relates to a positive locking fastener comprising: a screw (1) having a radial hole (120) at a threaded portion (12); a nut (2) having a tightening portion (21); a cap (3); and a pin (4). The cap has a locking portion (31) intended to cover the threaded portion and a blocking portion (30) intended to engage with a tightening portion of the nut. The blocking portion comprises at least one pair of diametrically opposed openings (32) suitable for allowing a pair of openings to be aligned with the radial hole, in order to allow the pin to be inserted and thus lock the fastening regardless of the relative position of the nut with respect to the screw. The invention also relates to a method for implementing the fastener according to the invention.
