RETENTION WASHERS, PROPELLER RETENTION SYSTEMS, AND RELATED METHODS
Retention washers include a washer body having a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The washer body has a perimeter having one or more lobes, and the retention washer further includes a multi-point star-shaped hole extending through the washer body from the first side to the second side. The retention washer is configured to maintain an installation torque of an installed nut when the retention washer is positioned such that the hole circumscribes the nut. Systems for retaining a propeller assembly on a shaft may include a nut installed on a bolt, and a retention washer positioned such that the hole of the retention washer circumscribes the nut, thereby limiting rotation of the nut with respect to the bolt and retaining the nut on the bolt. The system may include a circular array of nuts and bolts, each nut having a respective retention washer positioned thereon.
Multi-part adjusting element
A multi-part adjusting element is proposed, which makes possible a very precise adjustment of a shaft bearing.
Spring-loaded locking bolt
A spring-loaded locking bolt with a guide sleeve and an adjusting pin movably mounted axially in the guide sleeve. The adjusting pin can be brought into a locked position protruding axially out of the guide sleeve against the actuating force of an axial compression spring and a retracted neutral position which does not protrude axially from the guide sleeve. The adjusting pin has a locking end and an actuating end in conjunction with an actuator knob. The actuator knob has an outer sleeve with which the actuator knob is movably mounted axially on a sleeve section of the guide sleeve. The actuator knob includes an inner locking projection which in the locked position lockingly engages into a corresponding recess in the side wall of the sleeve section, and fixes the actuator knob, which is engaged under spring tension, against an axial rotation about the center axis of the locking bolt, and in the neutral position the actuator knob is rotatable about the center axis.
Pipe hanger with lock tab washer
A hanger for a pipe, the hanger comprising: a suspension member configured to engage the pipe, the suspension member comprising a side edge and defining a hole in through the suspension member; a threaded rod extending through the hole; a nut threaded on the threaded rod; and a lock tab washer disposed on the threaded rod between the suspension member and the nut, the lock tab washer comprising a first tab and a second tab, the first tab bent over a side edge of the suspension member, the first tab configured to prevent the lock tab washer from rotating with respect to the suspension member, the second tab bent over a circumferential side of the nut, the second tab configured to prevent the nut from rotating with respect to the lock tab washer.
LOCKING DEVICE
A locking device (11), e.g. a lock washer, for use with a screw threaded fastener (71), said locking device comprising at least a first disc-like body (12) comprising an annular portion (13) with at least one aperture (15) therein and a central through-hole (14) e.g. a washer having notches (15) open to the outer periphery and at least one further body (25) held in said one aperture (15). The further body may be shim (22) also having a central hole (24) and at least one tab (25) which extends through the notch (15) and has an end portion which juts above adjacent surface of the washer to engage an adjacent surface on the fastener when compressed, on tightening of the fastener deflects within the void of the aperture in which it is located under the influence of the tightening of the engaging surface such that under any tendency to loosen, the tab jams against the opposing surfaces and resist loosening of the fastener.
Nut locking assembly
A nut locking assembly may comprise a pin, a nut, and a lock ring. The pin may include an outer diameter threaded surface and a plurality of radially inward extending grooves formed between the outer diameter threaded surface and an end of the pin. The nut may include an inner diameter threaded surface and a plurality of radially outward extending grooves formed between the inner diameter threaded surface and an axial end of the nut. The lock ring may include a plurality of outer diameter protrusions and a plurality of inner diameter protrusions.
TANK COVER AND COVER SYSTEMS
A cover assembly generally includes a lock channel, flush mounted panels, a fastener, and a nut. Advantageously, the cover and cover systems are corrosion resistant and/or high strength, comprised of removable panels, offer easy installation and access, may be high strength fiber reinforced plastic, offer life cycle cost savings, may be compression sealed, have long relatively maintenance-free life, and/or are customizable.
Assembly locking device, thread bolt with assembly locking device, a component with installed thread bolt as well as a manufacturing method for the assembly locking device and an assembly method of the thread bolt with assembly locking device
An assembly locking device adapted to a normalized standard or fine thread of a thread shaft of a thread bolt, so that the locking device is positionable in a loss-proof manner on the thread of the thread shaft. The locking device includes: a cylindrical turn comprised of a plurality of helically wound turns, of a wire, a transition turn and adjacent to the second end of the helix is a blocking turn which has a negative pitch P.sub.B compared to the holding turn, so that at least an end portion of the blocking turn is elastically displaceable in the axial direction of the central longitudinal axis between an insertion position and a blocking position. The end portion of the blocking turn forms the second end of the helix and in the blocking position is arranged radially outwardly of the transition turn and/or the holding turn.
Captive screw spray nozzle
A captive screw spray nozzle comprising a screw for holding the spray nozzle on a support, the screw comprising a screw head engaging with a holding member, secured to the spray nozzle, and forming a stop for retaining the captive screw on the spray nozzle.
Captive screw spray nozzle
A captive screw spray nozzle comprising a screw for holding the spray nozzle on a support, the screw comprising a screw head engaging with a holding member, secured to the spray nozzle, and forming a stop for retaining the captive screw on the spray nozzle.
