Anaerobically curable compositions

An anaerobically curable composition comprising an anaerobically curable component that is a combination of a solid resin component and a solid anaerobically curable monomer. A curing component for curing the anaerobically curable component is included. The composition is solid and has a melting point in the range from 30 C. to 100 C. The composition is dry to touch and can be used to form articles of manufacture such as a tape, an elongate filament, a gasket, a patch.

A washer with integrated fluid distribution which includes a body with an outer ring having an aperture located centrally within the ring, a channel enclosed within the outer ring and a release channel exit in fluid communication with the aperture and an interior surface of the channel. The channel is filled with a dispensing fluid and the release channel is reversibly closed. The release channel exit is located within an inner wall of the aperture. The body comprises a compressible material. The release channel exit is opened when pressure is applied to the washer body and the dispensing fluid exits the channel via the opened release channel exit.

ANAEROBICALLY CURABLE COMPOSITIONS

An anaerobically curable composition comprising: a liquid anaerobically curable component; a solid anaerobically curable component; a solid polyether thermoplastic polyurethane resin; and a curing component for curing the anaerobically curable components.

Advantageously, the compositions of the invention are substantially solid and may be used as threadlockers.

The invention relates to an apparatus for the compensation of tolerances between components to be screwed to one another, comprising a hollow-cylindrical base element and a hollow-cylindrical compensation element which is in threaded engagement with the base element and which can be moved from a starting position into a compensation position by rotation relative to the base element. The apparatus is characterized in that a fixing means is provided by which the compensation element can be fixed in the compensation position relative to the base element.
