DEFORMABLE WASHER WITH ADDITIVE DISPENSER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A washer with integrated fluid distribution which includes a body with an outer ring having an aperture located centrally within said ring, a channel enclosed within said outer ring and a release channel in fluid communication with said aperture and an interior surface of said channel and wherein said channel is filled with a dispensing fluid and said release channel is reversibly closed.
SCREW WITH A COMPOUND-SQUEEZING PISTON
A screw, especially a concrete screw, having a shank with a front end that is to be inserted into a hole drilled into a substrate, and a rear end as well as at least one thread arranged on the shank. It is provided that the screw has a squeezing piston that is situated in front of the front end of the shank, whereby a compound reservoir is provided between the squeezing piston and the shank.
Bolted joint inner thread coating and methods of manufacturing
A device and corresponding methods for applying a coating material are disclosed. The method may include applying a first coating material on a threaded region of an opening in a multi-piece assembly, and inserting at least one fastener to the threaded region. The fastener may include a mating thread selectively secured to the threaded region of the opening to create a first friction interface between the fastener and the multi-piece assembly. The method may further include tensioning the fastener between a load surface of the multi-piece assembly and the mating thread. In one example, the load surface may define in part a second friction interface between the fastener and the multi-piece assembly that is spaced away from the threaded region such that the first coating material does not influence the second friction interface. In another example, the first coating material may be applied in a substantially uniform thickness.
Method for microencapsulating blowing agents and related products
A method for microencapsulating a core material, such as a blowing agent, in a single shell which has demonstrated to be challenging to microencapsulate as an individual component with a single-shell wall deposition using conventional techniques. Single-shell microcapsules of the blowing agent can be formed, minimizing steps involved in the present microencapsulation technique. Also, microcapsules formed by this method provide increased performance in end-use products, including but not limited to characteristics such as product shelf-life, ease of use, and greater expansion properties. A method of making a coating formulation including the microcapsules is further provided, as well as a fastener including the coating.
Leak-proof fastening device
The present invention pertains to a washer (11) for a female fastener (12, 12A), particularly a nut or collar, said washer comprising an annular base (15) and a substantially cylindrical skirt (13) of an outer periphery of the annular base, said annular base comprising a central orifice (18) coaxial with the axis (14) of the skirt, characterized in that the annular base is at least partially covered with a layer (21) of a viscous composition capable of forming a liquid-tight coating through polymerization. When installing a nut having such a washer onto a male fastener such as a pin (33), the spreading of the viscous layer makes it possible to fill in the gaps (36) of the assembly, the polymerization of the composition ensuring its leak-tightness afterwards.
TOLERANCE COMPENSATION APPARATUS
The invention relates to an apparatus for the compensation of tolerances between components to be screwed to one another, comprising a hollow-cylindrical base element and a hollow-cylindrical compensation element which is in threaded engagement with the base element and which can be moved from a starting position into a compensation position by rotation relative to the base element. The apparatus is characterized in that a fixing means is provided by which the compensation element can be fixed in the compensation position relative to the base element.
ANAEROBICALLY CURABLE COMPOSITIONS
An anaerobically curable composition comprising: a liquid anaerobically curable component; a solid anaerobically curable component; a solid polyether polyvinyl butyral resin; and a curing component for curing the anaerobically curable components. Advantageously, the compositions of the invention are substantially solid and may be used as threadlockers.
Ballistic protective helmet
(in connection with FIG. 1) The invention relates to a ballistic protective helmet (10) comprising a shell (21) comprising a shell material that is produced from a number of textile layers (11, 12) connected in a connection matrix. The shell (21) of the protective helmet (10) according to the invention has a blind hole (22), wherein a threaded sleeve (23) has an outer thread (25) that penetrates into the shell material which surrounds the blind hole (22) in a peripheral direction, and wherein the threaded sleeve (23) has an inner thread (26) for connecting to a screwing means (24) having an outer thread (31).
Anaerobically curable compositions
An anaerobically curable composition in dry to touch is provided, which is formed from: (a) a liquid anaerobically curable component; (b) a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) component in an amount of about 10% to about 35%, for example from about 20% to about 30%, by weight based on the total weight of the composition; and (c) a curing component for curing the liquid anaerobically curable component.
