HOOK AND METHODS OF ASSEMBLING AND USING THE SAME
A hook for lifting a component includes a hook body and a latch. The hook body includes a coupling portion having an elongate aperture defined therein for receiving at least a portion of a chain, and an engaging portion extending from the coupling portion, the engaging portion defining a hook opening sized for receiving a first portion of the component therein. The latch is pivotably coupled to the coupling portion and pivotable between a first position and a second position relative to the hook body. The latch occludes the hook opening in the second position. The latch defines a chain aperture that is aligned with the elongate aperture such that the portion of the chain extends through each of the elongate aperture and the chain aperture and causes the latch to pivot between the first and second positions in response to a load being applied to the hook.
MEANS CONCERNING HOOK
Support assembly (F5.13.1) moving sliding assembly (F5.13.3), position lock assembly (F5.13.6), push lock rod (F5.13.8), tension spring (F5.13. 10), threaded cap (F5.13.1 1 ) and release handle (F5.13.12). Bolt holes (F5.13.2), lower protection rod (F5.13.31 ) and upper protection rod (F5.1 3.32). Two lower protection rods (F5.13.14) and one upper protection rod (F5.1 3, 15) with strengthening link (F5.13.16). Push lock rod (F5.1 3,8) is equipped to lock sliding assembly (F5.13.3) in to possible positions in in lock down holes (F5.13.9).
Safety securing device and securing assembly comprising such a device
A safety securing device has two carabiners intended to receive a securing element. Each of the carabiners includes a hook provided with an opening. A detection device is activated upon insertion of the securing element into the hook. A closure door and a device for locking the door are coupled to a stressing device arranged to activate the locking device when the door is closed. The carabiners are interconnected by a transmission device that connects the detection device of one carabiner to the locking device of the other carabiner. The activation of the detection device of one of the carabiners triggers the deactivation of the locking device of the other carabiner.
SAFETY HOOK
Provided is a safety hook.
This safety hook is equipped with a hook part, a closing-off body supported by the hook part so as to be capable of swinging, and a first urging member for urging the closing-off body from an open position toward an closing-off position. The closing-off body comprises a closing-off-body base part, a first arm part capable of opening and closing the entrance of the hook part, and a second arm part extending in a direction different from that of the first arm part. The second arm part comprises a closing-off-body operation part. Operating the closing-off-body operation part causes the closing-off body to move from the closing-off position to the open position. The safety hook is further equipped with a lock member for securing the closing-off body in the closing-off position. Operating the lock-member makes it possible to unlock the lock member from the closing-off body.
PAYLOAD RELEASE APPARATUS FOR UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE
A payload release apparatus (PRA) is configured to expel payload efficiently at a delivery location. In an embodiment, the PRA includes a top portion, the top portion including a connector adapted to connect to a first end of a tether; a hook portion connected to the top portion, the hook portion including: a shank, a vertex, a high point, and a gap defined between the high point and the shank; and an elastic member, the elastic member blocking the gap defined between the high point and the shank of the hook portion, the elastic member having a relaxed position and a stretched position.
Shackle with low-force release system
A shackle with a low-load release mechanism adaptable for remote actuation to releasably connect two entities typically one of which being a rope or a line and the other being an entity controlled or positioned by the rope or line. The shackle consists of a body, a bail, a first pivot arm, a second pivot arm configured to hold the first pivot arm in a closed position, a release cam, and an activation lanyard. The lanyard connects to the release cam such that the release cam moves the second pivot arm when tension is applied to the lanyard thereby releasing the first pivot arm into an open position. The shackle may be configured to allow a tool to open the shackle, a finger release lever, and a release lever shield. The lanyard may pass through the second pivot arm, the release cam, and a pivot boss for attaching the bail.
Remotely operable personal fall arrestment device and apparatus
A remotely attachable personal fall arrestment apparatus includes a self-retracting lanyard (SRL) having an upwardly protruding carabineer connector ring which has a gate link that is pivotable open to expose a downwardly protruding upper front hook link which is attachable to an anchor member such as a rebar or bolt eye located above a work site, and a lifeline retractably extendable downwardly from the SRL and releasably attachable to a safety body-harness worn by a worker The apparatus includes an SRL remote attachment device comprising a pole having an upper end which supports the connector ring, and a gate link operating mechanism that has a flexible cable deployed downwardly along the pole and having a lower end which may be grasped and tensioned to open the gate link and enable the hook link hook an anchor member, and released to allow a spring to close and lock the gate link.
