A load sharing snap-linkable safety rigging plate preferably includes a rigging body, a first gate, a second gate, two first pivoting locks and two second pivoting locks. The rigging body includes a base portion, a first open gate loop and a second open gate loop. A plurality of openings are formed through the base portion. The first and second gates are pivotally engaged with first and second ends of the base portion. The second gate is pivotally engaged with a second end of the base portion and an opposing end is retained by an end of the second open gate loop. The first two pivoting locks are pivotally retained on a first end of the base portion to prevent the first gate from opening. The second two pivoting locks are pivotally retained on a second end of the base portion to prevent the second gate from opening.

Connecting and anchoring device

A connecting and anchoring device. A cable element terminates at opposite ends in respective gate and spine cable termination structures. A gate housing houses a gating portion of the cable element and includes a locking element. The device has a first configuration in which the termination structures are locked together and a second configuration in which the termination structures can be separated from one another by manipulating the locking element. The device in at least the first configuration defines a closed aperture. A spine housing houses a spinal portion of the cable element. The spine housing is attached to the base and the gate housing is pivotally connected to the base so that the gate housing can pivot relative to the spine housing so as to change the configuration of the connecting and anchoring device between the second configuration and a third configuration in which the aperture is open. The cable element includes a cable that extends uninterrupted from the spine housing, through the base, and into the gate housing.

A carabiner comprises a body and a gate fixed to the body to be movable between closed and open positions. A catch is fixed to the body and installed movable between a blocking position and a release position of the gate in the closed position. A first spring is connected to the gate and to the catch. The first spring biases the gate to the closed position and biases the catch to the blocking position. In the closed position, the first spring is curved with a first mean radius of curvature. In the open position, the first spring is curved with a second mean radius of curvature that is larger than the first radius of curvature.

Retractable gun bore cleaning system

A gun cleaning system and method is disclosed. The system includes a housing with a retractor. A tether is coupled with the retractor. A connector hoop is disposed at one end of the tether. A cleaning attachment separate from the housing and the tether is configured to detachably couple with the tether. The cleaning attachment has a coupling recess with an opening providing access to the recess. Inserting the tether's connector hoop into the recess couples the tether and the cleaning attachment. A catch adjacent to the opening prevents the connector hoop from exiting the recess. A method of cleaning a gun bore includes passing the tether through the bore, attaching a cleaning patch to the cleaning attachment, coupling the cleaning attachment and the connector hoop, and pulling the tether and the cleaning hoop member back through the bore in the opposite direction. Other embodiments are also included herein.
