An article for magnetically attaching a purse to a vertical magnetized surface such as a public restroom stall partition. The article includes enclosed magnet(s) joined to a clasp or ring, which is removably attached to a purse strap or purse hardware. Once attached to the purse, the article may be removably adhered to a magnetized surface.

A carabiner having a fire-starter for easily mounting the fire-starter on to a variety of items for quick and easy access and easy carry. The carabiner has a loop to fasten to the variety of items. The fire-starter utilizes a flint that can be scraped across the rasp attached to the body of the carabiner. A light emitting device may also be attached to the body and configured to emit light near the fire-starter so as to illuminate the area where the fire is to be started. The fire-starter may further comprise a lock to prevent unintentional sparks from being created.

A rope fastening device includes a body including: (i) a neck that extends along a longitudinal axis; (ii) a connector portion located at a first end of the neck and including a connector adapted to be engaged by an associated article; (iii) a rope attachment portion located at a second end of the neck, the rope attachment portion adapted to be connected to an associated rope. The rope attachment portion includes first and second rope engagement regions including respective first and second rope receiving apertures defined therein such that the body is adapted to be connected to an associated rope free end when the associated rope free end extends through the first rope receiving aperture in a first direction, around the neck, under itself adjacent the neck, and through the second rope receiving aperture in a second direction that is opposite the first direction.

A thumb tab actuator for a firearm sling snap-hook is provided. The thumb tab actuator includes a body having a surface that engages a lever of a snap-hook that pivots in a first plane. The actuator body is adapted to be removably mounted to the lever, and the body includes a tab extending outwardly in a second plane transverse to the first plane when the body is mounted to the lever, such that the lever pivots in response to a force exerted on the tab. A user may couple the thumb tab to the snap-hook via a screw or other fastener. In some embodiments, the thumb tab includes a second tab for an ambidextrous configuration.

This invention is a device to improve the safety of rock climbing and mountaineering participants by use of a reactive joint that allows the simultaneous opening of both gates of a double gate carabiner by manipulation of the action gate that results in the opening of the reaction gate in concert with the action gate, resulting in both gates being opened with only one hand movement by the climber.

An eyehook includes a main hook, a gate, and a switch. The main hook includes a first portion, a second portion, and has an opening thereon. The gate is pivotally connected to the second portion, and movable between a first and a second position. When the gate is moved to the second position, the opening is closed. A first main body is clad in a first insulating coat which has a first abutting portion. The switch is pivotally connected to the first portion, and movable between a third and a fourth position. A second main body of the switch is clad in a second insulating coat. The switch abuts against the first abutting portion when moved to the third position to prevent the gate from moving toward the first position. The switch includes a covering portion covering the first abutting portion when the gate is moved to the first position.

An eyehook includes a main hook, a gate, and a switch. The main hook includes a first portion, a second portion, and has an opening thereon. The gate is pivotally connected to the second portion, and movable between a first and a second position. When the gate is moved to the second position, the opening is closed. A first main body is clad in a first insulating coat which has a first abutting portion. The switch is pivotally connected to the first portion, and movable between a third and a fourth position. A second main body of the switch is clad in a second insulating coat. The switch abuts against the first abutting portion when moved to the third position to prevent the gate from moving toward the first position. The switch includes a covering portion covering the first abutting portion when the gate is moved to the first position.

A storage device that hangs from a rod, rope, cable or other support member which employs tension force to hold apparel belts with prongs and buckles, or other linear items that have holding elements (rings, buckles, fabric loops or holes), to the surface of a hollow body which rotates around the shaft of the hanging hook. This is done by latching the belts or linear items to the device using eyelets, clasps, clips or closeable hooks (e.g. carabiner spring hooks or reversible wire gates or closeable rings). This device stores linear items in a space-efficient way when a plurality of items attached are hung, allows better organizing and viewing of the items stored, even in a crowded space. In addition it securely attaches the items stored to the attachment mechanism and allows retrieval of items easily without the need to remove the whole device from the support member.

A dust-proof safety hook contains: a body, a connection shaft, a returning element, a housing sleeve, a resilient element, a rotary sheath, and a positioning bolt. The body includes an accommodation space, an opening, a first segment, and a second segment. The connection shaft includes a first part and a second part, the returning element is mounted between the body and the connection shaft. The housing sleeve includes a slot which has a limiting portion and two notches. The resilient element is fitted with the connection shaft, and the rotary sheath includes a through orifice and a cut. The positioning bolt is inserted into the through orifice of the rotary sheath and the limiting portion of the slot of the housing sleeve, such that the rotary sheath moves along the slot of the housing sleeve by way of the positioning bolt.

A connector includes a body and a gate. The body has a mid portion positioned between a nose portion and a connecting portion. The nose portion terminates in a nose end. The body also has an opening positioned between the nose end and the connecting portion. The mid portion has a flexible strength member extending therethrough interconnecting the nose portion and the connecting portion. The gate has a first end coupled proximate the connection portion of the body and a second end configured and arranged to engage the nose portion of the body to selectively close the opening. The gate has a closed position when positioned across the opening and an open position when the opening is at least partially unobstructed by the gate.
