Fastening arrangement
A motor vehicle may have a cylindrical component having two grooves aligned orthogonally to a cylinder axis, recessed into local areas of a lateral surface, and running parallel to each other, and a blind hole in an end of the cylindrical component. A fastening component for the cylindrical component may include a holding device having a U-shaped socket and a head portion having a through opening. The holding device may be matched to the cylindrical component in such a way that the cylindrical component is positively insertable via the two grooves into the U-shaped socket until the blind hole in the end is in alignment with the through opening in the head portion of the holding device. The fastening arrangement may also have a fastening element that is insertable and screwable through the through opening in the head portion into the blind hole in the cylindrical component.
Inline coupler
A yoke assembly for receiving a shaft, the yoke assembly including a main section including a pair of planar surfaces and a shoulder portion; and a subsidiary section with a pair of planar surfaces extending between a proximal wall and a distal wall. The subsidiary section is configured and arranged to be seated and securely attached to the first main section such that the proximal wall of the subsidiary section opposes the shoulder portion of the main section, and the pair of planar surfaces of the main section oppose the pair of planar surfaces of the subsidiary section. The main section and the subsidiary section are configured and arranged to be joined together to form a receiving aperture therebetween.
Duct coupling system
A duct coupling system includes a first and second duct, a vibration attenuation system, a rigid ring, and a fastening system. The first duct has a first flange aligned with a second flange of the second duct. The vibration attenuating system abuts a first side and a second side of the first flange and abuts a first side of the second flange. A portion of the vibration attenuating system encircles the first duct. The vibration attenuating system is configured to attenuate vibrations passing between the first and second ducts. The rigid ring encircles the first duct and abuts the vibration attenuation system. The fastening system couples the first duct to the second duct and compresses the vibration attenuating system. The rigid ring does not contact the first duct and the first duct does not contact the second duct.
FASTENING MEANS FOR A TURBINE- OR VALVE HOUSING
A fastener for connecting a first housing part of a steam or gas turbine to a second housing part of the turbine which is made of a parent metal with a high degree of stress relaxation.
Locking side pull hoist ring assembly
An assembly for rotating a workpiece including a locking side pull hoist ring removably attachable to a side surface of the workpiece. The locking side pull hoist ring comprises a load bearing structure, a rotation mechanism attached to the side surface of the workpiece that rotates about a rotation axis extending through the rotation mechanism, a locking mechanism configured to transition between a locked state and an unlocked state, and a support member connecting the load bearing structure and the rotation mechanism. The support member rotatably supports the rotation mechanism for rotation about the rotation axis and rotatably supports the load bearing structure for rotation about a second axis. In the locked state, the locking mechanism prevents rotation of the rotation mechanism by securing the rotation mechanism to the support member.
Fastener structure
A fastener structure includes a head portion, a body portion and an elastic element. The head portion has a shaft section, a press section and a hold-down section. The body portion has a corresponding press section, which is movably assembled to the press section. The elastic element has an end pressed against the press section and another end against the body section, allowing the head portion to move elastically. The body portion can be engaged with an object, and the hold-down section of the head portion can elastically hold down a workpiece against the object or be elastically removed from the workpiece, so as to complete the connection and disconnection of at least two objects to and from one another in a quick and repeatable manner.
Base fastener
The present invention relates to a base fastener which is disposed corresponding to a pair of arc holes on a base. The base fastener comprises a body. The body has a first side, a second side, and a throughhole. The throughhole penetrates through the first side and the second side. A first post and a second post protrude from the second side beside the throughhole. The first post, the second post, and the pair of arc holes are disposed correspondingly and rotatably connected to each other to be assembled with the base firmly.
Ceiling fan motor housing with L-shaped positioning member with horizontal portion to support bottom end of cover
A ceiling fan motor housing includes a bottom cover member, a hollow housing member, and a plurality of screws. The bottom cover member is formed with a plurality of threaded holes. The housing member is formed with a plurality of L-shaped positioning members extending from a bottom end thereof. Each of the positioning members has a vertical portion which is connected to the bottom end of the housing member and a horizontal portion which extends inwardly from a bottom end of the vertical portion, supports the bottom cover member, and is formed with a positioning hole. The screws respectively extend through the positioning holes of the positioning members to respectively engage the threaded holes of the bottom cover member.
FLANGE BOLTING METHOD AND APPARATUS
A method of loading bolts of a bolted flange connection includes obtaining an initial bolt load value for each of the bolts; loading each of the bolts, in sequence, to a respective initial bolt load value; wherein each of the bolts achieves a resultant bolt load value that meets a predetermined bolt load value.
Pipe rehabilitation method
Segments are linked in the circumferential direction to assemble a pipe unit. A link bolt is used to link the segments of the pipe unit in the longitudinal direction to assemble a rehabilitation pipe inside an existing pipe. An elastically deformable hollow cylindrical member having a tongue is attached to the link bolt between the inner plates. The outer diameter of the cylindrical member is larger than the insertion hole of the inner plate through which the link bolt can pass. This allows the link bolt to be prevented from falling out of the segment when the link bolt moves in the longitudinal direction due to gravity. When a force is applied to the tongue from below, the cylindrical member is elastically deformed and can be removed from the link bolt.
