The flexible shaft also includes a plurality of coils arranged around the longitudinal axis in at least one layer.

One or more flexible sleeves are dimensioned to fit over the connecting rod to prevent the ingress or egress of material. One or both of the ends of the flexible connecting rod and flexible sleeve can be open or sealed.

The drain cleaning apparatus includes a drum housing, a rotatable cable carrier mounted within an interior of the drum housing and a transmission assembly for transferring rotary power to an end of a FlexShaft cable residing in the interior of the drum housing. Also described are systems using these apparatuses in combination with a rotary power source such as a drill. In addition, various methods of use are described.

A biostimulator transport system, such as a biostimulator delivery system, having a swaged torque shaft, is described. The torque shaft includes an outer cable coaxially arranged with an inner coil. The inner coil has a single wire coil extending around a central axis in a first helical direction, and the outer cable has several outer strands that extend around the central axis in a second helical direction that is different than the first helical direction. The outer cable can be swaged to form a close fit to the inner coil. The close fit of the swaged coaxial torque shaft structure can track to a target site through tortuous vessels and efficiently transfer torque from a handle to a docking cap of the biostimulator transport system to drive a biostimulator into the target site. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

The present invention discloses a flexible shaft structure insulating wear particles by perfusion, which includes a flexible transmission shaft, a proximal holder is provided at one end of the flexible transmission shaft, a distal holder is provided at the other end of the flexible transmission shaft, a constraint insulator and an outer sheath tube are provided outside the flexible transmission shaft, and the constraint insulator sequentially includes an inner constraint layer, an insulation layer and an outer constraint layer from inside to outside; a perfusion inflow annular cavity is formed between the outer constraint layer and the outer sheath tube and between the outer constraint layer and the insulation layer, respectively, and a static sealed inner cavity is formed between the inner constraint layer and the insulation layer and between the inner constraint layer and the flexible transmission shaft, respectively; the proximal holder is provided with a perfusion inlet pipeline communicated with the perfusion inflow annular cavity and a perfusion exhaust pipeline communicated with the static sealed inner cavity; and the distal holder is provided with a perfusion insulation cavity. According to the present invention, the generated wear particles can be effectively insulated, the stability and consistency of perfusion flow of the product are improved, and the problems of vibration and noise of the flexible shaft under high-speed rotation are solved.
