Bowden cable arrangement
A Bowden cable arrangement is provided for a motor vehicle door lock arrangement, wherein the Bowden cable arrangement has a cable strand and a cable conduit, and wherein an adjustment device is provided with a first coupling element and a second coupling element within the chain of operating forces of the cable strand and with a coupling mechanism. In some embodiments the coupling elements may be coupled to each other by the coupling mechanism in different coupling positions relative to each other in order to adjust the length of the cable strand.
HOLD AND RELEASING MECHANISM FOR HOLDING AND RELEASING A CABLE TAKE-UP DEVICE
A hold and release mechanism for holding and releasing a cable includes a toothed-disk arrangement coupled with the cable take-up device for rotating together about a first axis. The toothed-disk arrangement includes a plurality of teeth at an outer periphery of the toothed-disk arrangement. The plurality of teeth includes locking and safety teeth. The locking catch engages with one of the locking teeth for holding the toothed-disk arrangement in a first rotational position. The safety catch engages with one of the safety teeth for holding the toothed-disk arrangement in a second rotational position.
PARK BRAKE SYSTEM ADJUSTMENT TOOL
Systems and methods for brake cable adjustment are disclosed herein. In this regard, a gage block tool for adjusting a brake cable may comprise a body comprising, a first member extending in a first direction, the first member having a first length and a first thickness, and a second member extending in a second direction, the second member having a second length and a second thickness. At least one of the first member or the second member may be sized and configured to be placed between a stop and a lever of a brake valve, the brake cable connected between the lever and a brake handle being properly adjusted when the gage block sandwiched between the lever and the stop contacts both the lever and the stop while the brake handle is in a park lock position.
Control cable actuation device
A control cable actuation device designed to be attached to a handlebar-steered vehicle frame member for a cable assembly including a control cable slidably disposed within a control cable housing. The actuation device includes a cable adjuster attachable to the frame member and an actuation lever configured to displace one end of the control cable. The cable adjuster is configured to receive the control cable and to axially displace to slidably displace the cable within the cable housing under cable adjustment. The lever is rotatably attached to the cable adjuster about a first axis to slidably displace the cable within the cable housing under cable actuation. The lever is also configured to rotate about a second axis to axially displace the cable adjuster to slidably displace the cable within the cable housing under cable adjustment.
Tuning structure for gear shift cables
A shift cable for transmitting of operation commands to a transmission comprises a cable conduit, an inner cable, a socket and a shift tuning structure. The socket is adapted to attach the shift cable to a housing. The shift tuning structure is provided between the cable conduit and the socket in order to provide a vibration dampening between the inner cable and the socket and to provide a desired shift feeling when the inner cable is transmitting an operation command. The shift tuning structure comprises a stiff, low-density material which is separated from the socket in axial and radial directions through a flexible material, which is thinner than the stiff, low-density material.
Self-tensioning member for a cable or rope
A tensioning assembly for a vehicle door includes a spring member disposed in the vehicle door and includes a sinusoidal configuration defined by a plurality of linear members having ends coupled by a plurality of arcuate members. A cable extends through the spring member in the door. The cable is interlaced with the linear member and includes a first end being operably coupled with a pulley wheel. An intermediate portion of the cable is wrapped around a drive wheel. A second end of the cable is operably coupled with the pulley wheel. A plurality of locating nubs on the linear members locate the cable through the spring member.
Locking mechanism for a control cable adjuster
An assembly for adjusting a cable that includes a locking sleeve and an adapter that is connected to the cable. The adapter includes male and female-threaded portions that are coupled together. The locking sleeve is configured to be displaced between engagement and disengagement positions. When in the engagement position, securing devices of the male and female-threaded portions engage inner sections of the locking sleeve in a manner that prevents the male and female-threaded portions from being rotated relative to each other, thereby preventing a change in the length of the adapter so as to prevent an adjustment of the cable. When the cable is to be adjusted, the locking sleeve is displaced to disengagement position such that the securing device of either the male or female-threaded portion is disengaged from the locking sleeve, thereby allowing rotation of the male or female-threaded portions relative to each other.
Position adjustment mechanism
Provided is a position adjustment mechanism including: a case; a moving member including a first engaging part and a second engaging part; a lock member provided in the case so as to be movable between a lock position for regulating movement of the moving member in a first direction with respect to the case and a separate position for allowing relative movement of the moving member with respect to the case; and a long member. The lock member includes: a first engaged part engaging with the first engaging part in the first direction; and a second engaged part engaging with the second engaging part in the first direction. When the lock member is at the separate position, the lock member regulates separation of the moving member from the case by engagement of the first engaging part with the first engaged part in the first direction.
