ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH TORQUE-OPTIONAL HINGE

An electronic device includes a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. A torque-optional hinge connects the third portion to the second portion, and a support hinge connects the third portion to the first portion. The torque-optional hinge has a hinge axis and a means for selectively generating a torque around the hinge axis. The means for selectively generating the torque has a high-torque state and a low-torque state. The high-torque state provides a greater rotational resistance around the hinge axis than the low-torque state. The support hinge rotatably connects the first portion and the third portion and provides a torque around a support axis.

Provided are a bending unit, a hinge, and a bending device with flexible module. The bending unit includes two transmission blocks, a connection block, a restricting block, and two rotating arms. The two transmission blocks have a tooth portion respectively. The two transmission blocks match with each other through tooth portions of the two transmission blocks. The two transmission blocks are respectively rotatably connected to the connection block. The restricting block is slidably connected to the connection block. A first end of a rotating arm of the two rotating arms is rotatably connected to one of the two transmission blocks. A second end of the rotating arm is connected to the restricting block. The rotating arm is slidable relative to the restricting block in a first direction and rotatable relative to the restricting block.

Bearing assembly of a hinge coupling a first component and a second component
11480214 · 2022-10-25 · ·

A bearing assembly of a hinge coupling first and second components includes an outer ring secured to the second component having an axial primary bore with a primary inner surface. An inner ring axially rotates, and has a primary outer surface rollingly contacting the primary inner surface, defining a primary sliding path with a primary friction coefficient. The inner ring includes a secondary axial bore with a secondary inner surface. An inner shaft in the secondary bore is secured to the first component and is axially rotatable. The inner shaft has a secondary outer surface rollingly contacting the secondary inner surface defining a secondary sliding path with a second friction coefficient. One of the sliding paths has a triboelectric layer surface frictionally generating an electrical current when that sliding path is engaged. A transmission element transmits, to a failure detection system, a signal due to such electrical current.

SELF-RETAINING WEAR-PAD LEVELER

A self-retaining wear-pad leveler has a first plate having arms on opposing sides and forming an aperture through the first plate. A rear section is coupled to a rear portion of the first plate and has tabs extending from opposing sides of the rear section. The arms are configured for being retained about a ball of a spherical bearing assembly, and the tabs are configured to cause rotation of the leveler about the bearing when engaged by a component coupled to and rotating about the bearing.

MULTI-PIECE BUSHING

A bushing assembly for a structure having a first aperture is provided. The bushing assembly includes a first component configured to be received by the first aperture and having a second aperture. A maximum width of the first component defines an outer diameter. The bushing assembly further includes a second component positioned outside of the first aperture and coupled to the first component, the second component having a third aperture extending through the second component. The third aperture is dimensioned so as to be equivalent to the outer diameter of the first component, and the first component and the second component are formed as discrete components of the bushing assembly.

In-line tandem axle assembly

In one embodiment, an in-line tandem axle assembly comprising: a tandem wheel arm (46); a pair of wheel connecting assemblies (44A, 44B), each comprising a hub (60A, 60B) and a spindle (58A, 58B); a pair of mounts (50A, 50B) coupled respectively to the pair of wheel connecting assemblies; a pair of wheels (52A, 52B) coupled respectively to the pair of wheel connecting assemblies, the pair of wheels separated by the tandem wheel arm and in a same fore-and-aft position; and plural pairs of parallel links (48A, 48B) of equal length pivotably mounted to the pair of mounts and pivotably mounted to the tandem wheel arm.

Articulation joint for a machine

An articulation joint for a machine includes a first frame portion, a second frame portion, a hinge pin, a bearing member, a bushing member, and a washer assembly. The washer assembly includes a thrush washer and a housing. The thrust washer includes a plurality of washer segments. Each of the plurality of washer segments is adapted to be disposed co-planar and adjacent with respect to one another. The plurality of washer segments defines a central space adapted to receive the hinge pin therethrough. The housing includes a plurality of housing segments. Each of the plurality of housing segments is adapted to be disposed co-planar and adjacent with respect to one another. The plurality of housing segments defines an internal space adapted to enclose each of the washer segments therein.

Bearing system with self-lubrication features, seals, grooves and slots for maintenance-free operation

A maintenance-free bearing system having self-lubricating features, seals, grooves and slots for use in a cushion hitch assembly for a hitch pull scraper vehicle. An interconnected bearing linkage system having two or more horizontal two-axis combined journal and thrust bearings with self-lubricating liners therein, two or more vertical single-axis sleeve bearings with self-lubricating liners therein and one or more vertical thrust bearing with self-lubricating liners therein, that cooperate with one another to accommodate vertical and horizontal angular movement relative to one another. The vertical thrust bearings incorporate an outer seal assembly and/or an inner seal assembly with a tapered configuration that improves retention of the seal assembly during rotation.

Mounting device and method for mounting components

A mounting device includes a first mount portion and a second mount portion. The first mount portion is in communication with a first pin extending along a first axis. The second mount portion is in communication with a pair of opposing second pins extending along a second axis different than the first axis. The second pins are in rotational communication with and extend outward from the first pin. The first and second mount portions are configured to translate along the first and second axes and rotate about the first and second axes with respect to one another.
