CONVEYOR IDLER SEAL APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Seal assemblies for conveyor idler rolls are provided. In some embodiments, a plurality of subsets of seal components are selectively installable in the seal assembly. In some embodiments, one or more fins are included on a seal.
Roller assembly, and feed roller systems comprising same
A roller assembly having a central axis can comprise a roller having an outer surface and defining an inner bore. The apparatus can further comprise a bushing comprising a sleeve having an outer surface and defining an inner bore. The inner bore of the sleeve can have an operative circumference. The sleeve comprises a bladder that is configured to expand radially upon receipt of a fluid to reduce the operative circumference of the inner bore. The bushing can further comprise a flange extending radially outwardly from the sleeve. The flange defines a vessel containing fluid therein. The vessel is in fluid communication with the bladder of the sleeve. The bushing comprises an actuator that is configured to cause the fluid from the vessel of the flange to flow into the bladder of the sleeve. An alignment feature can be configured to rotationally position the roller relative to the bushing.
PRE-STRETCHING ROLLER, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE PRE-STRETCHING ROLLER AND WINDING APPARATUS
A pre-stretching roller of an unwinding apparatus, associable to a wrapping machine, includes a main body elongated and manufactured by an extrusion process of a metal alloy. The main body includes a first tubular element having a cylindrical shape and defining an external cylindrical wall for interacting with a film, a second tubular element internal to the first tubular element and having a first end provided with a first seat suitable for coupling with a driving shaft of a driving unit and an opposite second end provided with a second seat suitable for coupling with a supporting pin for fixing the pre-stretching roller to the unwinding apparatus, and a plurality of longitudinal vanes which connect the first tubular element to the second tubular element. The second tubular element has a plurality of longitudinal ribs, each connected to a respective longitudinal vane.
FOLLOWER MECHANISM
A follower mechanism including an outer cup having a substantially cylindrical side wall, an annular lip portion disposed at a first end of the side wall, and an annular ledge disposed on the side wall, the annular ledge being disposed in a plane that is transverse to a longitudinal center axis of the follower mechanism. An inner cup includes an annular lip extending outwardly therefrom and a pair of shaft apertures, and is disposed in the outer cup so that the lip abuts the annular ledge of the outer cup and is non-rotatably fixed thereto by the annular lip of the outer cup which abuts the lip of the inner cup. A shaft is received in the shaft apertures, and a roller follower is rotatably received on the shaft such that a portion of the roller follower extends axially outwardly beyond the annular lip portion of the outer cup.
Unidirectional labyrinth seal system
A unidirectional annular labyrinth seal for a roller having an outer labyrinth seal and an inner labyrinth seal. The inner and outer seals have an annular outer wall, and an annular inner wall defining an interior and an interior surface. The interior of each seal has one or more annular middle walls and each has a central opening. The outer labyrinth seal and the inner labyrinth seal engage each other so that the outer walls, the inner walls, and the one or more middle walls cooperate to form a labyrinth in the unidirectional annular labyrinth seal. An annular interior seal is positioned in the interior of the outer labyrinth seal or in the interior of the inner labyrinth seal. The unidirectional annular labyrinth seal allows air to flow out of the roller but not into the roller.
Intake device with flap bearing arrangement and flap bearing arrangement
Disclosed is a flap bearing arrangement (10), having a bearing mount (20) with two side parts (24) connected by means of a tube section (22), between which is arranged an O-ring (30) which surrounds the tube section (22). Also disclosed is a flap bearing arrangement (100) for an intake device (200) having a flap shaft (100).
SECONDARY CLAMPING DEVICE FOR WHEEL
Disclosed is a secondary clamping device for a wheel. Two bearings and a spacing ring are closed in a base by a bearing end cover, a shaft sleeve is mounted on the bearings, a linear bearing and a gland are fixed on the shaft sleeve, a positioning pin is fixed at the top of the floating shaft, two ends of the spring A are respectively connected with the positioning pin and the linear bearing, and the positioning pin can move up and down under the action of the spring A. A pull rod is fixed on the gland, the outer wall of the floating column is connected with the inner hole of the shaft sleeve, two ends of the spring B are respectively connected with the gland and the floating column.
Fixing device and image forming apparatus including heat insulating member in contact with bearing
A fixing device includes a cylindrical fixing member, a pressing member, a bearing and a heat insulating member. The fixing member is heated by a heat source. The pressing member forms a fixing nip between the pressing member and the fixing member. The bearing supports an end portion of the fixing member in a rotatable manner. The heat insulating member is interposed between the bearing and the end portion of the fixing member. The heat insulating member has a cylindrical part and a flange part. The cylindrical part has a slitting groove extending along an axis direction of the cylindrical part. The flange part extends outward in a radial direction of the cylindrical part from one end of the cylindrical part in the axis direction. At least one notch is formed along an outer circumferential edge of the flange part.
Roller and method for compressing protective sheeting of polymer material around a pipeline
A roller for compressing protective sheeting of polymer material around a pipeline rotates about a given or designated axis of rotation and has a shaft; and a first tubular portion which extends about the shaft and varies in elasticity along the given or designated axis of rotation; more specifically, the first tubular portion is of greater elasticity at the ends of the roller than at the center of the roller.
CONVEYOR IDLER MONITORING APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Conveyor idler monitoring apparatus, systems and methods are provided. In some embodiments, one or more sensors (e.g., temperature sensors, load sensors, etc.) are supported by the shaft of a conveyor idler.
