AIR FOIL BEARING AND COMPRESSOR INCLUDING THE SAME
An air foil bearing includes a bearing plate having a plate shape and a material layer coupled and fixed to the bearing plate and made of a different material from the bearing plate. A viscoelasticity of the material layer is greater than a viscoelasticity of the bearing plate. A compressor includes an air foil bearing.
Air foil thrust bearing
Provided is an air foil thrust bearing including a bump foil plate in which a plurality of bump foils are formed and an arrest ring protrudes in a thickness direction; and a top foil plate in which a plurality of top foils are formed, a through-hole penetrating through both sides of a second plate is formed in a position corresponding to the arrest ring, the top foil plate being stacked on the bump foil plate, wherein the arrest ring is inserted into and penetrates through the through-hole, the arrest ring is bent toward the top foil plate so that the second plate is caught in the arrest ring, and a time for a thrust runner to rise from the top foil at an early stage of starting a rotor as the arrest ring is spaced apart from the second plate.
Compliant foil thrust bearing
A compliant foil thrust bearing subassembly comprising: a fluid plate comprising an annular mating ring and a plurality of fluid foil elements disposed radially inwardly from the fluid plate mating ring; a force transfer plate comprising an annular mating ring and a plurality of force transfer elements disposed radially inwardly from the force transfer plate mating ring; and a spring plate comprising an annular mating ring and a plurality of deflection elements disposed radially inwardly from the spring plate mating ring, wherein: the fluid plate, the force transfer plate and the spring plate are stackable such that each fluid foil element is axially supported by a corresponding pair of overlapping force transfer elements and deflection elements.
BEARING FOR SUPPORTING A ROTATING COMPRESSOR SHAFT
A compressor includes a housing, a shaft that is rotated relative to the housing to compress a working fluid, and a foil bearing that supports the shaft. The foil bearing includes a top foil. The foil bearing is a foil gas bearing that is backed up by a ball bearing, or a mesh foil bearing with an actuator to compress a wire mesh dampener. A heat transfer circuit includes a compressor and a working fluid. The compressor includes a shaft that is rotated to compress the working fluid, and a foil bearing for supporting the shaft as it rotates.
Thrust foil bearing and method for manufacturing base plate of thrust foil bearing
A base plate of a thrust foil bearing is provided with a plurality of protrusions and a plurality of recesses formed alternately in a first direction in a striped manner, and either one of top surfaces of the plurality of protrusions and bottom surfaces of the plurality of recesses gradually lower toward one side in the first direction.
THRUST SUPPORTING APPARATUS
A thrust supporting apparatus includes: a thrust runner configured to rotate integrally with a shaft; and a foil thrust bearing supporting an axial load of the shaft, the axial load being transmitted from the thrust runner. The foil thrust bearing includes a top foil facing a first surface of the thrust runner, and the thrust runner comprises first one or more grooves formed on the first surface.
Air bearing and rotor system
Provided is a rotor system including: a rotating shaft structure including a shaft and a thrust disc formed in a radial direction of the shaft; at least one journal air bearing including a journal bearing support which is made of a rigid body to support a load applied to the shaft by air, a journal spring which encloses an outer surrounding surface of the journal bearing support to provide a elastic support force to the journal bearing support, and a journal damper which encloses the outer surrounding surface of the journal bearing support to dissipate energy from vibration applied to the journal bearing support; and at least one thrust air bearing including a thrust bearing support which is made of a rigid body to support a load applied to the thrust disc by air, a thrust spring which is positioned on one surface of the thrust bearing support to provide a elastic support force to the thrust bearing support, and a thrust damper which is positioned on one surface of the thrust bearing support to dissipate energy from vibration applied to the thrust bearing support.
Thrust foil bearing
A thrust foil bearing includes a thrust member, and a foil member mounted to an end surface of the thrust member and having a thrust bearing surface that forms a thrust bearing gap. The foil member includes a foil that integrally includes a plurality of leaves each having a free end on one side in a circumferential direction and the thrust bearing surface, and a coupling portion for coupling the plurality of leaves to each other.
THRUST BEARING FOR TURBO COMPRESSOR
Disclosed herein is a thrust bearing for a turbo compressor, the thrust bearing has a structure that is modified in response to a portion where a deformation amount of a thrust runner is relatively large on the basis of magnitude of a force applied at the time of rotation of a shaft of a turbo compressor, to maintain a thickness of an oil film constantly and to increase a load supporting force of the thrust bearing, thereby ensuring improved durability of the thrust bearing.
Method for coating a turbomachine part with a self-lubricating coating and part coated by said method
A method for coating a turbomachine part with a self-lubricating includes: providing a rotor or thrust disc of the turbomachine; applying, by a thermal spraying process, a self-lubricating coating having of a mixture of 50 to 90 wt % of alumina (Al.sub.2O.sub.3) with titanium oxide (TiO.sub.2) to a surface of the rotor and/or a surface; and finishing the coated surface of the rotor and/or thrust disc.
