Steering System
20210362772 · 2021-11-25 ·

A steering system has a steering rod longitudinally displaceable in a housing and a steering motor acting on the steering rod via a ball screw drive. The steering rod has a recirculating ball thread interacting via spherical transmission elements with a transmission nut driven by the steering motor and that is rotatably mounted by a bearing arrangement with a pivot bearing having an inner ring to which a mechanism wheel is fixedly attached. The transmission nut is pivotably mounted on the mechanism wheel about a pivot axis oriented perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the steering rod, and has a curved joint section which interacts with a curved joint section of the mechanism wheel to form a pivoting bearing. An elastically deformed spring ring arranged between the joint sections provides freedom from play of the pivoting joint.

SPIN-SET BEARING SETTING VERIFICATION METHOD
20210364044 · 2021-11-25 · ·

A method for spin set bearing setting verification in a preload state on a shaft. An inertia wheel may be disposed on the shaft. The inertia wheel or the shaft is rotated. A first rotational speed is measured at a first time. The inertia wheel may decelerate over time to achieve a second rotational speed measured at a second time. The second speed is less than first speed. The change in time between the first time and the second time is measured. The bearing setting may be adjusted if the change in time is outside a predetermined time range. The bearing setting may remain unchanged if the change in time is within a predetermined time range.

Fluid pump for a motor vehicle

A fluid pump for a motor vehicle includes a pump wheel which is co-rotatably connected with a driving device via a rotor shaft, and a shaft bearing system for the rotor shaft. The shaft bearing system includes a bearing receptacle having a support flange, and a first and a second ball bearing. The first and the second ball bearing are each fixed to a radial outside of the rotor shaft, are each axially shiftable within the static bearing receptacle, and are positioned at opposite axial sides of the support flange. An outer race of the first ball bearing contacts the support flange. An outer race of the second ball bearing is axially preloaded away from the support flange via a preload spring. The first and the second ball bearing are each radially supported within the static bearing receptacle only by an elastic support ring which radially surrounds the outer races.

Bearing unit with three bearings including a preload bearing, in particular for a paper processing tool

A very compact play-free bearing unit includes a bearing that runs without play while having a reasonably large play when assembling and during disassembly of the bearing unit from its axle. The bearing unit uses three bearings, one of which is mobile, and thanks to a preloading mechanism the play is removed when loaded. Thanks to an amplification lever, the preloading unit is able to function either with a pneumatic actuator or with a hydraulic actuator.

The invention relates to a bearing arrangement designed as a fixed/floating bearing for a rotor of a fan, having a bearing tube, a compression spring, a shaft arranged coaxially with respect to the bearing tube, and two identically formed ball bearings arranged between the bearing tube and the shaft, each ball bearing having an inner ring and an outer ring, wherein multiple different fit zones are formed axially along the bearing tube, wherein, in a first axial fit zone, one of the ball bearings as a fixed bearing is attached by its inner ring on the shaft and its outer ring is fixed with a press fit on a continuous, shoulder-free portion of the bearing tube and, in a second axial fit zone, another of the ball bearings as a floating bearing is attached by its inner ring to the shaft and its outer ring is axially displaceably arranged with a clearance fit on a continuous, shoulder-free portion of the bearing tube, wherein the compression spring is arranged in a third axial fit zone and, exerting a preload against the outer rings of the ball bearings, is positioned axially between the ball bearings and is designed to eliminate bearing play of the floating bearing.

ELECTRIC DRIVE UNIT COOLING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Systems and methods for cooling power transmission systems are include providing oil through an aperture defined in a housing to a stator cooling ring, through the stator cooling ring and into stator cooling channels, through the stator cooling channels and into spaces defined between the housing and jet rings, and through holes in the jet rings and onto the end-windings. The stator cooling ring, stator cooling channels and jet rings can encircle the stator and end-windings and, via the holes in the jet rings, spray pressurized jets of oil from various angles onto the end-windings, and in particular middle regions thereof. Seals may be used between the jet rings and housing, and between the jet rings and stator ends. The seals may be compressed so as to form an interference fit between the jet rings and housing or stator ends as the case may be.
