A rotatable bushing for use in automotive suspension, steering, and other suitable joints is provided. The rotatable bushing includes a housing, an elastomeric portion engaging the outer surface of the housing, and a sleeve positioned within the housing. The sleeve is configured to rotate with respect to the housing and generally includes a central bore for receiving a rod or fastener therethrough. The elastomeric portion is configured to deform such that the sleeve is moveable in at least one of an axial direction and a radial direction with respect to an outer surface of the elastomeric portion.

Slide bearing

A slide bearing (1) is provided with an upper case (2) attached to an upper support for attaching a strut assembly to a vehicle body, a lower case (3) which is rotatably combined with the upper case (2) and which forms an annular space (7), and an annular center plate (4) and sliding sheet (5) disposed in the annular space (7). The upper case (2) has a load-transmitting surface (27) constituting part of an upper surface of the annular space (7), the center plate (4) is provided with an annular recess (43) filled with a lubricant, and the center plate (4) has a bearing surface (41) for supporting loads exerted on the load-transmitting surface (27). The sliding sheet (5), which is disposed between the load-transmitting surface (27) and the bearing surface (41), has a sliding surface (51) that slides against the bearing surface (41). The sliding sheet (5) is formed of a thermoplastic plastic, and the center plate (4) is formed from a thermoplastic elastomer having a lower modulus of elasticity than the thermoplastic plastic.

Steering column and bearing assembly

A vibration-free, rotatable, sealed support for a steering intermediate shaft, adapted to accommodate slight irregularities in the outside diameter of the intermediate shaft, with reduced complexity and cost of manufacture, and improved reliability, compared to bearing and seal assemblies known to the art, comprising a mounting flange, a sealing member, and a monolithic bearing.

Bearing arrangement

A bearing arrangement for connecting two components including a bearing bushing having an inner sleeve and an elastic element surrounding the inner sleeve. Two connection portions are arranged axially on both sides of the inner sleeve wherein a connector having a shaft portion extending through the inner sleeve applies a clamp force compressing the connection portions axially against the inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is deformed by the clamp force of the connector in such a manner that at least one contact portion of the inner sleeve presses radially to the inside and against the shaft portion.

Drying Device for Drying Hygroscopic Material to be Dried
20190257582 · 2019-08-22 ·

Drying device for drying hygroscopic material, for example wood, has a drying chamber for accommodating material to be dried, and air conditioning for setting a drying climate in drying chamber during drying process. Air conditioning sets drying climate, at least in part, as a function of moisture of material to be dried. There are bar-like support devices for storing material to be dried in drying chamber during drying process. At least one bar-like support device has scale for measuring weight of material to be dried that is stored on support device. Scale is in signal transmission connection with a control apparatus designed and programmed so that moisture of material to be dried is determined from weight measured by scale. Control apparatus is designed and programmed for controlling air conditioning so drying climate is set as a function of moisture of material to be dried, and determined in each case.

Elastic bearing
11988251 · 2024-05-21 · ·

An elastic bearing has an inner body, an outer body and an elastic layer. The outer body surrounds the inner body such that the outer body and the inner body have a common longitudinal axis, which forms the bearing longitudinal axis as a first spatial axis of a 3D coordinate system. The elastic layer is positioned between the outer body and the inner body. In the direction of a second spatial axis, a distance between the outer body and the inner body is minimal, and free from the elastic layer. In the direction of a third spatial axis, the distance between the outer body and the inner body is always the same, and the elastic layer is arranged therein in order to fill that spacing gap.

Combination elastomeric and cylindrical plain bearing

A bearing assembly is for movably coupling first and second members, one being movable relative to the other. A plain bearing section includes an inner ring having a bore for receiving the first member and an outer cylindrical bearing surface. An outer ring is disposed about the inner ring and has an inner cylindrical bearing surface disposed against the inner ring bearing surface, one bearing surface sliding against the other when the movable member displaces about a first axis. The two rings engage to prevent relative displacement between the rings when the movable member displaces about a second axis. An elastomeric bearing section is disposed about the plain bearing section, is connected with the second member and is formed such that at least a portion of the elastomeric bearing section flexes when the movable member angularly displaces about the second axis.
