Corrosion resistant bearing elements, bearing assemblies, bearing apparatuses, and motor assemblies using the same
Embodiments disclosed herein relate to bearing assemblies and methods of manufacturing. In an embodiment, a bearing assembly includes a support ring and bearing elements. The bearing elements are mounted to and distributed circumferentially about an axis of the support ring. At least one of the bearing elements includes a polycrystalline diamond table, a substrate bonded to the polycrystalline diamond table, bonding region defined by the substrate and the polycrystalline diamond table, and a corrosion resistant region. The corrosion resistant region includes a corrosion resistant material that covers at least a portion of at least one lateral surface of the bonding region. The corrosion resistant region prevents corrosion of at least some material in the bonding region covered by the corrosion resistant region (e.g., during use). Other embodiments employ one or more sacrificial anodes as an alternative to or in combination with the corrosion resistant region.
PLAIN BEARING ASSEMBLY OF A ROTATIONAL ELEMENT ON A BEARING BOLT, IN PARTICULAR OF A PLANETARY GEAR ON A PLANETARY GEAR BOLT OF A PLANETARY GEARBOX
A plain bearing assembly of a rotational element on a bearing pin, the assembly including a bearing bolt, a bearing sleeve, which is non-rotatably mounted on the pin and which has a first bearing surface formed on its outer circumference, a rotational element which is rotatably mounted on the bearing sleeve and which has a second bearing surface that is formed on its inner circumference and that is slidingly mounted on the first bearing surface. The bearing pin has at least one lubricant channel opening onto the outer side of the pin and the bearing sleeve has a radial groove formed on its inner circumference, which groove communicates with the radial lubricant channel, and at least one opening branching off radially from the radial groove and opening towards the rotational element. The rotational element has a radial groove formed on its inner circumference and communicating with the opening and the first bearing surface is harder than the second bearing surface.
Thrust bearing pad having metallic substrate
A thrust bearing pad includes a relatively low wear and low friction contact layer disposed on a metallic substrate. The metallic substrate allows a manufacturer to couple the thrust bearing pad to a corresponding metallic thrust bearing in a relatively secure manner while the contact layer extends the operating life of the thrust bearing and minimizes maintenance.
Bearing assembly for tufting machine cutting attachment
A shaft assembly has a shaft and a journal bearing that is fixedly coupled to the shaft so that rotation of the shaft causes corresponding rotation of the journal bearing. A bearing race has an inner surface that defines a cylindrical bore and a lubrication groove that extends radially outward from the cylindrical bore. The journal bearing is rotatably disposed within the cylindrical bore of the bearing race.
HYDRAULIC MACHINE COMPRISING BEARINGS FOR SUPPORTING THE ROTATING COMPONENT
The rotating hydraulic machine (102) comprises: —a housing (10), —a shaft (20) movably mounted relative to the housing about an axis, —an apron (24) rigidly connected to the shaft and extending around at least a portion of the housing, —a cam (12) rigidly connected to either the housing or the shaft, —a cylinder block (42) rotationally connected to the other of either the housing or the shaft, the cylinder block comprising pistons capable of engaging with the cam to produce a relative rotation between the shaft and the housing, —first and second guide bearings (28) each bearing directly on the housing and the apron, and —at least a third guide bearing (37) bearing directly on the housing and the cylinder block.

Molybdenum monoxide layers, and production thereof using PVD
The invention relates to a coating comprising at least one molybdenum-containing layer having molybdenum oxide, said molybdenum being essentially molybdenum monoxide. The invention further relates to a PVD process for producing the disclosed coating, in which the layer comprising the molybdenum monoxide is produced using arc evaporation. The invention also relates to a component that has said coating.
Sliding member
Disclosed herein is a sliding member, such as a sliding bearing, including a resin overlay layer having improved conformability. The sliding member includes a bearing alloy layer and a resin overlay layer formed on the bearing alloy layer, wherein the resin overlay layer includes a solid lubricant phase, a binder resin phase, and a cushion phase, and an area ratio of the cushion phase is 0.5% or more but 5.0% or less.
Half bearing and sliding bearing
A semi-cylindrical half bearing for a sliding bearing includes at least one axial groove formed on its inner circumferential surface that includes a smooth groove surface formed back away from the inner circumferential surface toward a radially outer side of the half bearing. The groove surface forms a convex curve toward the radially outer side in a cross-section perpendicular to the axial direction of the half bearing, and forms a straight line extending in the axial direction in a cross-section parallel to the axial direction. The half bearing further includes a plurality of axial narrow grooves formed on the groove surface so as to be back away from the groove surface toward the radially outer side, that extend in the axial direction of the half bearing.
BEARING ASSEMBLY WITH HYBRID COATING
Among other things, a bearing assembly comprising a hybrid coating is provided. A bearing assembly may comprise a substrate having a surface and a hybrid wear resistant coating over the surface of the substrate. In an example, the substrate may be an inner radial bearing and/or and outer radial bearing within a bearing assembly. The hybrid wear resistant coating may comprise a high wear resistant coating and a low wear resistant coating. The high wear resistant coating may comprise a wear resistant matrix over the surface and a set of wear resistant elements within the wear resistant matrix. In an example, wear elements within the set of wear elements may comprise tungsten carbide. The low wear resistant coating may be over a low wear area of the surface. In an example, the low wear resistant coating may be positioned between the first high wear resistant coating and a second high wear resistant coating.
