Bearing inner ring with integral mounting means
An inner ring assembly for a bearing includes a bearing annular body disposable about the shaft and having a bearing inner race and a plurality of slotted openings defining a plurality of arcuate mounting tabs, the slotted openings each having a curved inner end and each tab including a substantial recess to reduce stress concentration. An annular locking collar is disposed about and clamps the mounting tabs against the outer surface of the shaft to retain the inner ring. The collar is retained on the ring body by a retainer projection(s) extending outwardly from the mounting tabs and engaging with the collar or a retainer member projecting inwardly from the collar and engaging with one of the mounting tabs. The collar has a gap and a flat outer surface section spaced from the gap to increase the dynamic balance and the flexibility of the collar.
Bearing assembly for supporting rotation of a shaft in a turbocharger
A bearing assembly for supporting rotation of a shaft in a turbocharger includes an inner race extending along an axis. The inner race is configured to be coupled to the shaft. The bearing assembly also includes an outer race spaced radially from the inner race and a cage disposed radially between the inner race and the outer race. The bearing assembly further includes a rolling element disposed radially between the outer race and the inner race. The rolling element is disposed within the cage for supporting rotation of the shaft. The outer race defines a lubricant passageway configured to direct lubricant toward the cage.
HUB BEARING
To provide a hub bearing that is capable of reducing a delay in a response of the hub bearing and improving a steering stability of a vehicle. A hub bearing 1 includes an outer ring 2 serving as a stationary side raceway ring, a hub wheel 3 and an inner ring 5 serving as a rotatable side raceway ring, balls 4 serving as a plurality of rolling elements disposed between a raceway surface of the stationary side raceway ring and a raceway surface of the rotatable side raceway ring, and grease that lubricates a rolling contact part between each of the raceway surfaces and the rolling elements. The surface roughness of at least one raceway surface selected from the raceway surface of the stationary side raceway ring and the raceway surface of the rotatable side raceway ring in the rolling contact part is 0.03 μmRa or less. Further, the grease has a traction coefficient in the rolling contact part of 0.04 or less at 40° C. when a vehicle speed is 20 km/h or more.

DENTAL HANDPIECE AND AXIAL GROOVE BALL BEARING
The dental handpiece consists of a housing with a handle and a turbine that can be operated with compressed gas or compressed air. The rotational movement of the turbine driven by compressed gas is transmitted to the dental tool via a rotor shaft and a chuck. The rotor shaft is rotatably supported by at least one axial groove ball bearing. The radial rigidity required for operating a dental handpiece is achieved by axially preloading the ball bearings. Projections on the housing and the shaft disc of the at least one axial groove ball bearing allow the axial groove ball bearing to be used as radial groove ball bearings. The proposed design of the dental handpiece exhibits little power loss or frictional loss in comparison to dental handpieces with radial groove ball bearings, and slip and drilling friction components can be virtually completely prevented in particular.
