A bearing assembly includes at least two bearings each having an inner ring and outer ring, the inner rings being mounted on a shaft, and a balancing piston being disposed between the two bearings. The balancing piston includes a first part and a second part, the first and second parts each contacting the outer rings of the two bearings in an axial direction. The balancing piston further includes an inlet for directing a pressure fluid between the first and second parts to provide pressure to the first and second parts such that the balancing piston adjusts or exerts axial force on at least one of the two bearings. The balancing piston includes an outlet for directing the pressure fluid to lubricate at least one of the two bearings. Also, the outer diameter of the balancing piston is greater than the outer diameter of the outer rings of the two bearings.

Drivetrain systems and methods are provided. In one example, the drivetrain system includes an interaxle differential (IAD) configured to receive power from a prime mover, a motor configured to drive a planetary gearset, and a ball ramp actuator configured to selectively engage a plurality of plates in a clutch pack of a friction clutch in response to receiving rotational input from the planetary gearset. In an engaged configuration, the friction clutch prevents speed differentiation between a first IAD output and a second IAD output.

Bearing lubrication system and method of lubricating a duplex bearing

A bearing lubrication system includes a bearing assembly comprising a duplex bearing including an outer ring, an inner ring positioned radially inward from the outer ring, and two sets of circumferentially distributed rolling elements between the inner and outer rings. The bearing assembly further includes a housing radially surrounding the duplex bearing and including a lubricant flow passage in fluid communication with a source of lubricant. A flow orifice is located downstream of the lubricant flow passage for jetting the lubricant into the duplex bearing. The flow orifice has an axial location between the two sets of rolling elements.

Devices for distributing oil from a rolling bearing for an aircraft turbine engine include a rolling bearing including two rings, respectively an inner ring and an outer ring, an oil distribution ring configured to be mounted on a turbine engine shaft, said distribution ring including a first outer cylindrical surface for mounting the inner ring of the bearing, an oil recovery scoop supplying a lubricating circuit of the bearing, and an annular track of a dynamic seal. The distribution ring and the track are formed by a single-piece body, and the lubricating circuit is formed in said body and extends into the distribution ring and the track.

Each oil retaining recess has an inner surface having a radially inwardly facing surface portion, the radially inwardly facing portion being an inclined surface radially inwardly inclined toward the corresponding tapered roller.

Device for distributing oil from a rolling bearing (8) for an aircraft turbine engine, comprising: —a rolling bearing (8), —a body (5) for distributing oil, which body is configured to be mounted on a turbine engine shaft (4), said body comprising: i) a first outer cylindrical surface (5a) for mounting the inner ring (12) of the bearing, ii) a ring-shaped scoop (11) for recovering oil, iii) a ring-shaped track (26) of a dynamic seal (22), iv) a circuit (7) for lubricating the bearing and cooling the track, said circuit being formed in the body, characterised in that the ring-shaped scoop is the first scoop (11a) which supplies a first portion (7x) of the circuit with a view to cooling the track, and in that the body comprises a second ring-shaped scoop (11b) for recovering oil, which scoop supplies a second portion (7y) of the circuit with a view to lubricating the bearing.

Rolling bearing, rotary apparatus, and method of manufacturing rolling bearing

A rolling bearing capable of achieving reduction in torque is provided. The rolling bearing includes an inner ring and an outer ring disposed coaxially with each other, a rolling element disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring, a seal member configured to cover an area between the inner ring and the outer ring from an outside in an axial direction, and filled grease disposed between the rolling element and the seal member. The filled grease includes a first ring-like part which extends to form a circumferential shape centering on a common axis of the inner ring and the outer ring, and which has contact with one of the inner ring and the outer ring, and a second ring-like part which extends to form a circumferential shape centering on the common axis, which is connected to the first ring-like part at an outer side in the axial direction, and which has contact with the seal member.
