A transmission series has a first transmission and a second transmission. The first transmission and the second transmission each have a respective input shaft, a housing, a supporting structure fixed in the housing, and at least two bearings by means of which the input shaft is mounted rotatably in the respective supporting structure. The at least two bearings of the first transmission are of the same first design and the at least two bearings of the second transmission are of the same second design that is different from the first design. The supporting structures of the first and second transmissions are designed identically.

An upper case manufacturing method using an axial draw mold, in molding of an upper case made of a synthetic resin and including an inclined cylindrical portion. A fixed mold is provided with a first half body, and a movable mold is provided with a second half body. The first half body and the second half body abut against each other in an inclined plane. The first half body has a first flat surface at both ends on the inner diameter side of the inclined cylindrical portion in the inclined plane, and the second half body has a second flat surface at both ends on the inner diameter side of the inclined cylindrical portion in the inclined plane. The first flat surface and the second flat surface are flat surfaces that prevent the occurrence of undercutting when the upper case is removed from an injection molding mold.

A tripod type constant velocity universal joint includes an outer joint member having three track grooves each including roller guide surfaces opposing each other in a circumferential direction of each of the track grooves, a tripod member including three leg shafts, and roller units each including a roller and an inner ring to support the roller. An outer peripheral surface of the roller has a partially spherical surface having a curvature center on an axis of each of the leg shafts. The roller guide surfaces are each formed of a partially cylindrical surface having a curvature center on a horizontal line passing an intersection of a pitch circle of the track grooves and a center line of each of the track grooves, and when no torque is applied to the joint, an end portion of the outer peripheral surface of the roller abuts against the roller guide surfaces.

A molded motor 100 includes a molded stator formed by providing a molding resin to a stator, a rotor inside the molded stator, a pair of bearings supporting a rotor shaft of the rotor, and an insulating bracket fitted in an inner circumferential part of an opening formed at an axial end of the molded stator to surround and support an outer ring of the bearing with a concave part formed at a center, and formed of an insulating resin.

Bearing assembly

A bearing assembly includes a roller bearing connected with a bearing support having a plate-shaped section. The bearing support has a receiving bore for an outer ring of the roller bearing, and the outer ring of the roller bearing is affixed to the bearing support with two affixing plates that are fixed to first and second end sides of the bearing support and that clamp the outer ring at two clamping surfaces. An axial spacing of the first and second end sides of the bearing support is smaller than an axial spacing of the clamping surfaces of the outer ring, and the two affixing plates have a different mechanical strength.

Load sharing stacked bearing structure including first bearing having a first inner race, first outer race and first set of roller elements housed between first inner race and first outer race and a second bearing having a second inner race, second outer race and second set of roller elements housed between second inner race and the second outer race. A housing surrounds the first and second bearings. First compliant element is provided with the first compliant element connected between the housing and the first outer race. The first compliant element, first outer race and housing define at a pressure chamber. The first outer race axially slidable relative to the second outer race such that an increase in pressure in pressure chamber causes a change in axial spacing between the outer races. This induces an additional axial load on the bearings which helps balance thrust load sharing.

A ball bearing and housing assembly includes a shaft having a stepped bore extending therethrough. The stepped bore is defined by a first bore segment having an inboard cylindrical interior surface that has a first bore diameter. The first bore segment extends from a shaft end and terminates at a shoulder. The shoulder is axially located between a first radial centerline of a plurality of balls and an inner axial end. The stepped bore is further defined by a second bore segment having an outboard cylindrical interior surface that has second bore diameter. The second bore segment extends axially from the inner axial end towards the shaft end and terminates at the shoulder. The second bore diameter is greater than the first bore diameter. A fastener is fitted through the first bore segment and threaded into a housing.

A turbocharger system can include a housing that includes a through bore, a plurality of lubricant bores, a plurality of lubricant bore to through bore openings and a recessed compressor-side surface that defines in part a passage that fluidly couples at least two of the lubricant bores; a rolling element bearing unit disposed at least in part in the through bore of the housing; and, a plate that covers at least a portion of the recessed compressor-side surface of the housing.

A rolling element bearing retention arrangement provides axial and rotational retention of a rolling element bearing within a housing. A retaining ring is received partially within circumferential grooves located on an outer ring of the rolling element bearing, and within a bore of the housing, providing axial retention. Inward and outward directed protrusions on each end of the retaining ring engage cavities within the respective circumferential grooves, providing rotational retention.
