A dustproof bearing assembly includes a base having a shaft tube. The shaft tube has an open end with an opening. At least one bearing is coupled to an inner periphery of the shaft tube. A rotating member includes a shaft seat. A shaft includes a first end coupled to the shaft seat and a second end extending through a shaft-receiving hole of the at least one bearing. A dustproof member includes a lower face and an upper face. The lower face is spaced from the open end of the shaft tube. The dustproof member covers the opening. The upper face of the dustproof member abuts a bottom of the shaft seat. The dustproof member has an outer diameter larger than an inner diameter of the shaft tube. The dustproof bearing assembly can be used in a motor.

The object of the present invention is to suppress a mechanical loss caused by thermal elongation or rotational vibration of a rotary shaft of a turbo compressor for compressing a low pressure refrigerant used at a maximum pressure of less than 0.2 MPaG so as to enhance the efficiency of a turbo chilling apparatus. The turbo compressor is a turbo compressor for compressing a low pressure refrigerant used at a maximum pressure of less than 0.2 MPaG, the turbo compressor including: a rotary shaft; an electric motor coaxially disposed on an intermediate portion of the rotary shaft so a to rotationally drive the rotary shat impellers fixed to one end of the rotary shaft and forming a compression portion; a first bearing pivotally sporting the rotary shaft between the electric motor and the impellers; and a second bearing pivotally supporting the other end of the rotary shaft, wherein the first bearing is formed of a rolling bearing, and the second bearing is formed of a sliding bearing.

A vehicle spindle and a method of attaching the spindle to a portion of an axle half shaft housing. The spindle has an inner surface, an outer surface, one or more bearing journals on the outer surface of the spindle and a radially protruding portion circumferentially extending from at least a portion of the outer surface of an axially inboard end portion of the spindle. Prior to attaching the spindle to the axle half shaft housing, the one or more bearing journals are ground, a clocking angle for the radially protruding portion of the spindle is determined and the spindle is aligned to the determined clocking angle. Once the spindle is aligned to the determined clocking angle, the axially inboard end portion of the spindle is attached to an axially outboard end portion of the axle half shaft housing using one or more welds.
