Bearing
A bearing includes a first ring, a second ring and a plurality of rolling elements between the first and second rings. The first ring is a split ring formed of a first ring part and a second ring part that meet at a joint region, and each of the ring parts includes a recess that extends axially into the respective ring part from the joint region. A cylindrical seal is disposed in the recess of the first ring part and extends across the joint into the recess of the second ring part.
MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR SLINGER USED IN ROTARY SEAL, AND ROTARY SEAL
A manufacturing method of a slinger, includes steps of: molding an annular blank material from a dull-finished steel sheet material through sheet metal press working or the like; and burring the blank material to mold a slinger. The values of the arithmetical mean roughness Ra of faces, of a burring mold, which individually come into contact with first and second slide-contact surfaces of the slinger, are set to 0.03 mRa0.07 m. A ratio of pressure application force for holding the blank material between the faces to the 0.2% proof stress of the dull-finished material, is set to 1.0 or more and 1.53 or less. A clearance for the burring mold is set to T(0.9 to 0.7) where T represents the sheet thickness of the blank material.
Split bearing cartridge assembly and split housed bearing assembly
A novel split bearing cartridge assembly is provided having an inner race, clamp collars for securing the inner race to a shaft, a plurality of rolling elements within a cage, an outer race, a bearing container for encapsulating those components, and seals that sit within the openings in the bearing container. All of the above components are split such that the bearing cartridge may be assembled and disassembled on and from a shaft with relative ease. The split inner race extends axially such that the seals act between the openings in the bearing container and the extended portions of the inner race. A split housed bearing assembly that incorporates the novel split bearing cartridge assembly is also provided.
MANUFACTURING METHOD AND MANUFACTURING APPARATUS FOR WHEEL BEARING DEVICE
A manufacturing method of a wheel bearing device, the wheel bearing device including an outer ring member, an inner shaft member that includes a shaft portion that has an inside raceway and a flange portion, a plurality of rolling elements, a seal provided at an end portion of the outer ring member on the first axial side and including an axial lip, and a lip contact surface provided on the side of the inner shaft member and contacted by the axial lip, includes: processing the outside raceway with a distance in an axial direction from a first reference position being managed, a first reference position being set on the outer ring member; and providing the seal at a predetermined position, in the axial direction, of the outer ring member with respect to the first reference position.
Sensor cap exchange tool device
A sensor cap exchange tool device may include a support bolt; a support bracket that is fixed to a front end portion of the support bolt; a mover that has a second screw thread that is engaged with the first screw thread at of the support bracket; a tool guide that is rotatably engaged with the mover and that moves in the predetermined direction together with the mover according to a rotation of the mover and that has a tool insertion opening open in the predetermined direction; and a separation device and mounting device that are mounted in the tool guide and that moves with the tool guide according to a rotation of the mover and that comes in close contact with the sensor cap that is mounted in the wheel bearing assembly.
ROLLING-ELEMENT BEARING UNIT AND ASSEMBLY METHOD
A rolling-element bearing unit includes at least one outer ring, at least one inner ring, a plurality of rolling elements disposed between the at least one outer ring and the at least one inner ring that are in contact with the at least one outer ring and the at least one inner ring and at least one auxiliary ring attached to an axial end region of the outer ring. The auxiliary ring may include a seal assembly and may be connected to the at least one outer ring with a snap fit.
Sealed bearing assembly and method of forming same
A sealed bearing assembly includes an inner race, a bearing element, and an outer race extending radially in axial alignment between a rotatable member having an axis of rotation and a stationary support structure. The sealed bearing assembly also includes a first inlet header coupled to a first axial end of the outer race. The first inlet header includes at least one oil inlet port, at least one oil nozzle, and a first sealing member extending between the first inlet header and a first surface of the inner race.
BEARING SEAL
A bearing seal includes at least one first metal-plate element having an attachment region for attaching the first metal-plate element to a bearing inner ring, at least one seal element attached to the first metal-plate element, and at least one spring element configured to press at least one region of the seal element in a radially outward direction. Also a wheel bearing assembly including the bearing seal.
BEARING UNIT MANUFACTURING DEVICE AND BEARING UNIT MANUFACTURING METHOD
A manufacturing device manufactures a bearing unit including an inner ring member outwardly fitted onto an end portion of a shaft main body of an inner shaft on one side in an axial direction and fixed by a swaged portion extending from the end portion. The manufacturing device includes: a rotating mechanism including a rotor which holds the other side of the inner shaft in the axial direction from below and rotates the inner shaft about a center axis of the inner shaft while the center axis is aligned with an up-down direction, the rotor being mounted below a processing area of the bearing unit; and a swaging mechanism mounted above the processing area and including a punch which is brought into contact with the swaged portion to plastically deform the swaged portion.
BEARING SEAL WITH POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE THRUST BUMPER
A bearing seal includes a seal case, a sleeve, and a thrust bumper disposed between the seal case and the sleeve to define spacing between the seal case and the sleeve during assembly of a wheel end implementing the bearing seal. The thrust bumper includes polytetrafluoroethylene.
