SPHERICAL PLAIN BEARING FOR DAMPERS
A spherical bearing for a damper system includes a first segment and a second segment with a ball therebetween. The ball includes a shaft extending therefrom. The shaft extends out of the first segment. A lubricious liner is disposed between the first segment and the second segment.
Controlled-dispersion of solid lubricious particles in a metallic alloy matrix
Methods for making a tribological bearing wear surface for a compressor component are provided. Such methods involve semi-solid metal casting, where an admixture of solid lubricant particles and a metal alloy material is heated to melt the metal alloy material, while the lubricant particles remain in a solid phase. The alloy material and solid lubricant have substantially different densities. The metal alloy material may be a copper, iron, or aluminum alloy, for example. The method further comprises mixing and cooling the admixture to form a semi-solid slurry admixture. Next, the method comprises introducing the semi-solid slurry admixture into a die. Finally, the semi-solid slurry admixture in the die is solidified to form a solid component having the solid lubricant particles homogenously distributed within a metal alloy material matrix, thus forming a metal matrix composite. Compressor components made from such methods are also provided.
SINTERED BEARING FOR MOTOR-TYPE FUEL PUMP AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
Provided is a bearing for a motor-type fuel injection pump. This bearing is composed of a Cu—Ni-based sintered alloy, inexpensive and has a superior corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance. The bearing contains 10 to 20% by mass of Ni, 2 to 4.5% by mass of Sn, 0.05 to 0.4% by mass of P, 2 to 7% by mass of C, and a remainder consisting of Cu and inevitable impurities. The bearing has a metal structure where Sn is uniformly dispersed and distributed in a metal matrix, and has a porosity of 7 to 17% where a free graphite is dispersed and distributed in pores.
PLAIN BEARING AND METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURE
A newly built plain bearing has an inner ring and an outer ring each having a sliding surface along which the rings are movable relative to each other. The sliding surfaces are spaced from each other by an intermediate space that holds an initial greasing, and at least one of the sliding surfaces includes an anti-corrosion coating.
SLIDING MEMBER
A sliding member includes a back-metal layer and a sliding layer on the back-metal layer, and the sliding layer has a sliding surface. The sliding layer includes a synthetic resin and fibrous particles dispersed in the synthetic resin. A volume ratio of the fibrous particles in the sliding layer is 1 to 15%, and the fibrous particles are made of semi-graphite having a nano indenter hardness of 1000 to 5000 MPa. An average aspect ratio of the fibrous particles is not less than 5, where an aspect ratio is defined as a ratio of a major axis to a minor axis of the fibrous particle viewed from the sliding surface. An average grain size of the fibrous particles in cross-sectional view perpendicular to the sliding surface is 5 to 50 μm.
Spherical plain bearing for dampers
A spherical bearing for a damper system includes a first segment and a second segment with a ball therebetween. The ball includes a shaft extending therefrom. The shaft extends out of the first segment. A lubricious liner is disposed between the first segment and the second segment.
Sintered bearing and manufacturing process therefor
A sintered bearing (1) contains as main components iron, copper, a metal having a lower melting point than copper, and a solid lubricant. The sintered bearing (1) includes a surface layer (S1) and a base part (S2). The surface layer (S1) is formed mainly of flat copper powder arranged so as to be thinned in a thickness direction. In the base part (S2), an iron structure (33) and a copper structure (31c) brought into contact with the iron structure are formed of partially diffusion-alloyed powder in which copper powder is partially diffused in iron powder. Thus, a sintered bearing which achieves a balance between wear resistance of a bearing surface and strength of the bearing, and realizes low cost can be provided.
SLIDING MEMBER
Disclosed herein is a sliding member for an internal-combustion engine of an automobile or the like. The sliding member has excellent sliding properties due to high oleophilicity of its sliding surface achieved by adjusting the surface texture of a resin layer forming the sliding surface, which makes it possible to effectively prevent wear or seizure of the sliding member and a counterpart sliding member thereof. The sliding member includes a resin layer provided on a surface of a base material, in which the resin layer has a surface roughness of 1.05 or more, preferably 1.07 or more. The mean spacing (s) between local peaks of the resin layer may be in the range of 2 m or more but 12 m or less, but may be preferably in the range of 2 m or more but 10 m or less. Further, the mean height (Rc) of the resin layer may be in the range of 0.5 m or more but 5.0 m or less, but may be preferably in the range of 0.5 m or more but 3.0 m or less.
POROUS GAS BEARING
A porous gas bearing is disclosed. The porous gas bearing includes a housing having a fluid inlet and an aperture. A porous surface layer is disposed within the housing surrounding the aperture in a circumferential direction. The porous surface layer is in fluid communication with the fluid inlet. A damping system includes a damping system including a biasing member, the biasing member being disposed in a passageway that extends along the longitudinal direction of the aperture and circumferentially about the aperture, wherein the biasing member is arranged radially outward from the porous surface layer.
Rolling bearing and production process therefor
A rolling bearing has an outer diameter surface of the outer ring which is a fitting surface with a housing and the inner diameter surface of the inner ring, which is a fitting surface with a shaft. The outer diameter surface of the outer ring or the inner diameter surface of the inner ring is coated with a bonded film containing an organic binder, a solid lubricant powder such as molybdenum disulfide powder, and a friction/wear modifier such as antimony oxide powder. According to the rolling bearing, a creep resistance is kept excellent without causing increase in cost and size and being deformed and softened.
