Also placing at least one assembly ring around the plurality of tapered rollers to hold the plurality of tapered rollers against the first rolled-on surface element, and moving a second rolled-on surface element coaxially toward the first rolled-on surface element such that a portion of the second rolled-on surface element contacts the at least one assembly ring and pushes the at least one assembly ring axially off the plurality of tapered rollers.
FUNCTIONALLY GRADED COMPOSITE STRUCTURES
A composite ring includes a first region including a first polymeric material; a second region including a second polymeric material; and an interfacial region defining a compositional gradient between the first region and the second region; wherein a wear resistance of the first region is different from a wear resistance of the second region. A composite bearing includes a first layer including a first polymeric material and a first filler; a second layer disposed on the first layer, the second layer including a second polymeric material and a second filler; and an interfacial region defining a compositional gradient between the first layer and the second layer, wherein a wear resistance of the first layer is greater than a wear resistance of the second layer, and wherein a mechanical strength of the second layer is greater than a mechanical strength of the first layer.
Hybrid ball bearing pair and a compressor bearing arrangement
A pair of hybrid ball bearings have stainless steel rings and ceramic balls and are configured such that when the first inner ring and the first outer ring are in contact with the first plurality of ceramic balls under zero measuring load and zero mounting load and the second inner ring and the second outer ring are in contact with the second plurality of ceramic balls under zero measuring load and zero mounting load a certain gap exists between either the inner rings or the outer rings. The gap is based on the diameter of the inner ring or on the pitch diameter of the balls and on whether the bearings have an X configuration or an O configuration.
Bush
Provided is a resin bush capable of slidably supporting a shaft when the bush has been fitted in a housing; particularly, a resin bush suitable for use in an environment in which the effects of a difference in thermal expansion coefficients are likely to be prominent, such as a high-temperature environment, even when the housing and the shaft are made of a material such as a metal that has a different thermal expansion coefficient from that of the resin bush. In the resin bush (1), which is molded by extrusion molding, a slit (12) is formed from one axial end surface (11a) towards another axial end surface (11b). A recessed section (13) for a gate (a gate position), which is provided to the one axial end surface (11a), is provided in a position that is deviated from being symmetrical with the slit (12), at least with respect to a center axis O of a bush body (10). The resin used for the material of the bush (1) is a resin having excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance, such as PPS resin or a PEEK resin.
BEARING ASSEMBLY OF A ROTOR OF A WIND TURBINE, AND WIND TURBINE
A bearing assembly of a rotor of a wind turbine, for mounting a shaft of the rotor in a fixed housing, wherein the shaft of the rotor is coupled to rotor blades of the rotor via a hub, includes: a plurality of first housing-side axial slide bearing segments engaging on the housing; a plurality of second housing-side axial slide bearing segments; a plurality of first housing-side radial slide bearing segments; and a plurality of second housing-side radial slide bearing segments. An axial distance between the first and second axial sliding surfaces of the rotor defines a bearing length l. The radial sliding surfaces of the rotor on which the first and second radial slide bearing segments are supported, define a bearing diameter d of the bearing assembly, and V≤1 applies to a ratio V=l/d between the bearing length l and the bearing diameter d.
