The present invention achieves a high mechanical load capacity of a rod end by means of a component loop that passes around a bearing, where the component may be made of continuous-fiber reinforced composite material with thermoplastic matrix and where the continuous-fiber reinforced composite material with thermoplastic matrix may extend into a threaded stem of the rod end, and the component made of continuous-fiber reinforced composite material with thermoplastic matrix may be enclosed by short-fiber reinforced, long-fiber reinforced, or unreinforced thermoplastic. The threaded stem can be implemented with an external or an internal thread.

ROLLER BEARING

A roller bearing includes an inner ring having an inner-ring raceway surface on an outer periphery of the inner ring, an outer ring arranged concentric with and peripherally outside the inner ring, and having, on an inner periphery of the outer ring, an outer-ring raceway surface that faces the inner-ring raceway surface, a plurality of rollers interposed between the inner-ring raceway surface and the outer-ring raceway surface in a rollable manner, and a cage that holds the rollers at predetermined intervals along a circumferential direction. Opposite end portions of the outer-ring raceway surface in an axial direction serve as guide surfaces or which rotation of the cage is guided. Or an outer periphery of the cage, slidable contact surfaces are formed which slidably contact the guide surfaces and which are arranged to thee the respective guide surfaces across a labyrinth clearance.

Retainer and ball bearing

A retainer includes two annular retaining plates combined with each other, and each having semispherical bulging portions arranged at predetermined intervals along a circumferential direction of the retainer. The semispherical bulging portions, which face each other, form a pocket having a ring-like shape, for retaining a ball. The pocket includes a ball non-contact portion formed in a ball facing surface of the pocket at a center portion in a pocket axial direction, the ball non-contact portion being defined by a recess extending in a pocket circumferential direction. The following relationship is set: A/(B+C)=0.70 to 0.90, where A represents a pocket circumferential length of the ball non-contact portion, B represents a diameter of the ball, and C represents a gap formed between the ball and the ball facing surface of the pocket.

Rolling Bearing

A rolling bearing includes an inner ring, an outer ring, a plurality of balls, a cage that holds the balls, and a sealing device that is attached to each of opposite sides of the outer ring in an axial direction to prevent foreign matter from entering inside the bearing. A noise-reduction portion that attenuates sound inside the bearing is formed on at least one of a surface of the cage and a bearing inner-side surface of the sealing device.

INSULATED BEARING AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

An insulating bearing includes an outer ring, an inner ring, and rolling elements arranged between the outer and inner rings. One of the outer and/or inner ring is an insulated ring having a body and an insulating layer overmolded on the body. The insulating layer has a dielectric constant lower than 5 @ 1 MHz, more preferably lower than 4 @ 1 MHz, more preferably lower than 3.5 @ 1 MHz. The present disclosure also provides a method for manufacturing an insulating bearing. The method includes overmolding the insulating layer so that the weld seam of the insulating layer after overmolding avoids the main force-loading area of the insulated ring and/or is formed where the thickness of the insulating layer is the maximum. By overmolding, the insulating layer provides sufficient insulation even when there is high voltage and high frequency current, thereby preventing electrical corrosion of the bearing.

Rolling bearing, rotating device, and method for manufacturing rolling bearing

The rolling bearing includes an inner ring and an outer ring that are disposed coaxially with each other, a rolling body that is disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring, and a resin cover that is mounted on the outer ring. The outer ring has an outer circumferential surface that faces an opposite side of the inner ring, and an end surface that faces an axial direction. The resin cover has a circumferential wall portion that covers the outer circumferential surface, and a flange portion that is connected to the circumferential wall portion and covers the end surface. The flange portion has an opening portion formation region that has a constant width in a radial direction, extends over an entire circumference, and is formed with opening portions that expose the end surface.

Rod End Made of Thermoplastic Fiber-Reinforced Plastic

Various implementations of a clevis may include a continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic that may be least partially looped around a first opening in the clevis and a second opening in the clevis. Implementations of a clevis may include a stem and the continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic may extend into the stem.
