A bush bearing 7 includes a synthetic resin-made bush 17 having a circumferential groove 16 on an outer peripheral surface 15 thereof; an endless annular elastic member 18 fitted in the circumferential groove 16 of the bush 17; and a positioning means 19 for determining the position of the bush 17 in a B direction with respect to an inner peripheral surface 12 of a gear housing 6.

CONDUCTIVE MEMBER FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC MACHINE

To provide a conductive member for an electrophotographic machine that is capable of preventing hardening degradation of a surface layer that is caused by an ionic conductive agent contained in a conductive rubber elastic body layer, allowing the surface layer to be improved in durability.

A conductive member 10 for an electrophotographic machine includes a conductive rubber elastic body layer 14 containing crossiinked rubber and an ionic conductive agent, and a surface layer 16 provided on an outer periphery of the conductive rubber elastic body layer 14, wherein the surface layer 16 contains a polymer and polyphenol. Examples of the polyphenol include a tannin, gallic acid, ellagic acid, pyrogallol, catechin, and chlorogenic acid.

Combined insulator and conductor assembly for bearings with clip-mounted conductor

A combined electrical insulator and conductor assembly for a bearing disposable between a shaft and a housing. An annular insulator is disposeable about the bearing and configured to prevent electric current flow between an outer ring and the housing. An electrical conductor has retainer(s) releasably engaged with the insulator so as to couple the conductor with the bearing, an outer radial end and an inner radial end. The conductor outer radial end, or/and a portion of the conductor between the outer and inner ends, is conductively engageable with the housing and the conductor inner radial end is conductively engageable with the shaft so as to provide an electrically conductive path between the shaft and the housing. Preferably, the conductor includes a conductive disk having arcuate retainer clips engageable with an insulator groove of the insulator and a brush subassembly including conductive fibers engaged with the shaft outer surface.
