A bearing comprises a resin matrix filled with fluoropolymer, graphite, and other discrete particles of an additive material that is attached to a backing material. A method for manufacturing a bearing comprises depositing to a backing material a fluid polymer bearing material comprised of a resin matrix filled with fluoropolymer, various fillers, and discrete particles of an additive to form a continuous consolidated bearing material, and curing the lining material to bond the lining material onto the backing material.

SLIDING BEARING DEVICE

A sliding bearing device is proposed which comprises a bearing seating having a first sliding surface and a bearing body having a second sliding surface, wherein the bearing body is accommodated by the bearing seating and the first sliding surface and the second sliding surface face each other, wherein the bearing seating and/or the bearing body is made of an open-pore fibre composite material at least in a sliding region which forms the respective sliding surface.

BOGIE MECHANISM FOR A TILTROTOR PROPROTOR DOOR

A door roller mechanism for cooperation with a roller track including a carriage member having a door attachment feature; at least one roller disposed for rotation on a first side of the carriage member when the carriage member moves in the rolling direction; at least one roller disposed for rotation on an opposite second side of the carriage member when the carriage member moves in the rolling direction; a first rub member disposed on the first side of the carriage; a second rub member disposed on the second side of the carriage; and at least one biasing element disposed on the carriage member for resiliently biasing the first rub member and the second rub member in opposite lateral directions so as to contact a respective first track surface and a second track surface in a manner to dampen lateral vibration of a door connected to the roller mechanism.

ROLLER TRACK ASSEMBLY FOR A TILTROTOR PROPROTOR DOOR

A door track assembly for cooperation with a door roller mechanism, including a housing having a longitudinal channel along a length of the housing, wherein the channel descends at an end of the housing to form a stowage recess for the door roller mechanism, and a first track and a second track that are disposed on the housing along a length of the channel and that descend into the stowage recess and along which the door roller mechanism traverses.

Spheroidial joint for column support in a tuned mass damper system

A spheroidal joint for a tuned mass damper system includes a base having a concave seat and a lubricious liner secured thereto. The base defines a first mounting portion under the concave seat and a circumferential rim opposite the first mounting portion. The concave seat tapers radially outward to define a chamfer which terminates at a radially inner edge of the rim. The spheroidal joint includes an inner member that has a convex seat. The inner member has a second mounting portion extending from the convex seat and an indentation circumferentially extending around the inner member between the convex seat and the second mounting portion. The indentation cooperates with the chamfer for misalignment of the inner member relative to the base. The convex seat slidingly engages the lubricious liner.

Disclosed is a self-lubricating composite friction part (1) that can be subjected, during operation, to temperatures that are at least equal to 250 C. The part includes, along the friction surface (2), a single layer of a material consisting of weft and warp yarns made of polytetrafluoroethylene, the material being impregnated with a thermostable resin having a glass transition temperature that is at least equal to 250 C. It is applied to a reinforcing layer (3).

PIVOT LINK ASSEMBLY

The invention relates to a pivot connection type assembly comprising a shaft and first and second connection parts, each receiving the shaft so as to enable them to pivot relative to each other, the first connection part being arranged axially between a first end of the shaft and a radial plane, while the second connection part is arranged axially between said radial plane and the other end of the shaft. The shaft is hollow and includes an inside section that presents a radial dimension at least in a first axial plane and over a first segment of the shaft extending axially between the first end and the radial plane , which radial dimension varies, decreasing on axially approaching the radial plane. The assembly includes a ring interposed radially between the shaft and a bore of the first connection part, and presenting radial thickness that varies.
