Drive unit pinion and method of installation
A drive unit includes a housing and a pinion having a head and a shaft. The shaft extends through a pinion-support portion of the housing. A tail bearing supports the shaft and has an outer race fixed to the pinion-support portion and an inner race received on the shaft. The inner race is brazed to the shaft. The drive unit may be assembled by installing a tail-bearing cup and a head-bearing cup in the housing and inserting the pinion in the housing with the shaft extending through the cups. The method further includes installing a tail-bearing cone onto the shaft to be seated on the tail-bearing cup and urging the cups toward each other. The method also includes brazing the tail-bearing cone to the shaft while the cups are urged toward each other.
BEARING CAGE SEGMENT INCLUDING WELDING-MATERIAL BODIES OR LOCATIONS
A sheet metal bearing cage segment includes a first ring section, at least one second ring section, and a plurality of bridges connecting the first and second ring sections to each other and defining a plurality of pockets between the bridges. The bearing cage segment includes first and second circumferentially directed joint edges, the first joint edge is configured to connect to the second joint edge of the bearing cage segment or to a second joint edge of another sheet metal bearing cage segment, and the first joint edge includes at least one body of welding material projecting from the joint edge. The body of welding material may be pressed against the second joint edge while leaving a gap between the joint edges, and the welding material can be liquified by a resistance welding process to connect the joint edges.
SUPERABRASIVE COMPACTS, METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME, AND APPARATUSES USING THE SAME
Embodiments disclosed herein relate to superabrasive compacts, methods of making the same, and drill bits incorporating the same. For example, embodiments of a superabrasive compact disclosed herein (e.g., a PDC) may be formed by providing a superabrasive compact. The superabrasive compact includes a superabrasive body and a cemented carbide substrate bonded to the superabrasive body. The cemented carbide substrate includes a base surface, an interfacial surface bonded to the superabrasive body, and at least one peripheral surface extending between the base surface and the interfacial surface. After providing the superabrasive compact, the method includes lasing at least a portion of the peripheral surface of the cemented carbide substrate to form a corrosion-resistant layer
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PRECISION RAIL AND A PRECISION RAIL GUIDE, AND PRECISION RAIL AND PRECISION RAIL GUIDE
A production method produces a precision rail having a raceway region. The material for producing at least one part of the raceway region is deposited onto a component by laser beam build-up welding and/or electron beam build-up welding. The methods results in short processing times being achieved when the precision rails concerned are produced.
BEARING COMPONENT HAVING A METALLIC BASE BODY AND AN ALLOY- STEEL COATING
A bearing component such as a bearing ring includes a metallic base body and at least one alloy steel coating on the base body, the coating being applied to the base body by deposition welding. The base body is preferably non-alloy steel or cast iron, and the alloy includes at least one carbide-forming transition metal such as niobium, tantalum, zirconium, titanium, hafnium, tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, or manganese. The coating can form a raceway of the bearing component or a structural element such as a flange. Also a method of forming such a bearing component is provided.
Rotor main bearing of a nacelle for a wind turbine
A nacelle for a wind turbine includes a nacelle housing; a rotor hub; a rotor bearing for bearing the rotor hub on the nacelle housing, wherein the rotor bearing has at least one inner ring element and at least one outer ring element, wherein at least one sliding bearing element is formed between the inner ring element and the outer ring element. The sliding bearing element is inseparably connected to the inner ring element or the sliding bearing element is inseparably connected to the outer ring element.
Axial piston pump
An axial piston pump, particularly for hydraulic systems, includes a cylinder drum (1) rotationally driven about an axis (15) in a pump housing (7). Piston cylinder units are arranged in the drum in a circle at an offset. Pistons (21) are at least indirectly supported on a swashplate (3) by their actuation end (31) accessible outside the cylinder drum (1). Between the swept volumes (19) of the piston cylinder units and a stationary fluid inlet and stationary fluid outlet of the pump housing (7), a control device (23) is arranged that has fluid channels (25, 26) for the targeted transfer of fluid from the fluid inlet into the swept volumes (19) and from the swept volumes (19) to the fluid outlet. At least one pressure compensation channel (28, 30) is provided in the control device (23), between the fluid channels (25, 26), to build or release fluid pressure in the swept volumes (19) in a targeted manner.
SLIDABLE STRUCTURE AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
