Mast bearing race
A system for securing a bearing to a shaft includes a shaft having a raised portion extending radially outward from the shaft. The raised portion includes a first angled face on a first side of the raised portion and a second angled face on a second side of the raised portion. The bearing includes an outer race comprising a bearing surface on an inner face of the outer race, an inner race comprising a bearing surface on an outer face of the inner race and a third angled face on an inner face of the inner race that is configured to mate with the first angled face, and a plurality of rollers disposed between the inner and outer races.
BEARING ARRANGEMENTS, TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS OF MAKING BEARING ARRANGEMENTS FOR TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLIES
A bearing arrangement includes a rotary member, a bearing, and a clamp member. The rotary member is arranged along a rotation axis and has a collar portion, the collar portion extending radially outward from the rotary member. The bearing extends about the rotary member and axially abuts the collar portion, the bearing arranged to support the rotary member for rotation about the rotation axis. The clamp member is seated on the rotary member and on a side of the bearing opposite the collar portion, the clamp member urging the bearing axially toward the collar portion to axially fix the bearing relative to the rotary member. Transmission assemblies and methods of making bearing arrangements are also described.
TWO-PIECE BEARING CAGE ASSEMBLY
An improved bearing cage is disclosed herein. The bearing cage assembly generally consists of two cage halves that are connected, fixed, or joined to each other directly via mating components formed integrally with the two cage halves. The cage halves are joined to each other via engagement of integrally formed sockets and posts defined on radially extending arms of the cage halves.
BEARING ASSEMBLY FOR ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE
A wedge for securing a bearing and a bearing sleeve to an end bell of a rotating electric machine includes an annular base extending about a centerline and having an inner surface defining an opening through the base for receiving the bearing and the bearing sleeve. The base includes opposing first and second ends spaced circumferentially from one another by a gap for allowing relative movement therebetween during securing of the bearing and the bearing sleeve to the end bell.
ANTI-ROTATION DEVICE FOR ROTOR BEARINGS IN GENERATORS
An anti-rotation device including a tapered sleeve elongated along a longitudinal axis wherein the sleeve including an inner surface defining an inner diameter, an outer surface defining an outer diameter varying along the longitudinal axis, a slot extended from the inner surface to the outer surface configured to provide
Radial Positioning Device
A radial positioning device is disclosed. The radial positioning device can include a body. The body can include a circumferential surface having a spring location and at least one interface portion operable to interface with a mating component. The body can also have a recess with a depth that varies relative to the circumferential surface about the body. The radial positioning device can also include a spring disposed in the recess. The spring can have a radial dimension greater than the depth of the recess at the spring location. The spring can be operable to contact the mating component at the spring location and compress in the radial dimension to provide a spring force that biases the at least one interface portion and the mating component against one another.
ROTOR SHAFT UNIT
A rotor shaft unit for a tidal system, which tidal system includes a main frame and a rotor and a housing connected to the rotor, includes a rotor shaft configured to be connected to the main frame, at least one bearing unit for rotatably supporting the housing for rotation relative to the rotor shaft, and a sleeve configured to be mounted in the main frame, the sleeve being disposed around a first end portion of the rotor shaft and connected to the rotor shaft by a friction connection. Also a tidal system including the rotor shaft unit.
SPHERICAL PLAIN BEARING
A spherical bearing assembly includes a shaft extending through an opening of an inner ring, the inner ring having a spherically curved outer surface, a clamping sleeve on the shaft, the clamping sleeve extending through the opening of the inner ring, and an outer ring having an inner surface complementary to the outer surface of the inner ring. The inner ring is mounted in the outer ring with the outer surface of the inner ring slidably supported by the inner surface of the outer ring.
Steering device
A steering device includes a rolling-element bearing that rotationally supports a rotating member in a housing. The rolling-element bearing includes an inner ring, an outer ring, first rolling elements, and second rolling elements. The first rolling elements and second rolling elements are disposed in parallel in the axial direction between the inner ring and the outer ring. The inner ring includes a first split race having a first inner peripheral track surface and a second split race having a second inner peripheral track surface. The steering device further includes a fixing structure configured to fix the rolling-element bearing to the outer periphery of the rotating member in a state where a load is applied to the first split race, the first rolling element, the outer ring, the second rolling element, and the second split race.
NO PIN COMPLIANT JOURNAL BEARING SHAFT FOR ONE PART CARRIER
A journal bearing comprising a central member and at least a first end member separated from the central member by a first undercut having an undercut diameter U1, an outer cylindrical surface of the first end member being axially spaced from an outer cylindrical surface of the central member, wherein the outer cylindrical surface of the first end member has a diameter A, the outer cylindrical surface of the central member has a diameter B, and wherein diameter B is greater than diameter A, and diameter A is greater than diameter U1.
