A metallic end fitting for a given tubular component made of fibre reinforced polymer matrix composite material includes first and second concentric surfaces extending longitudinally along a central axis to form a socket for receiving an end of the tubular component. The socket has an outer diameter defined by the first surface, and an inner diameter defined by the second surface, wherein the outer diameter and inner diameter are chosen to provide an interference fit with respective outer and inner of the given tubular component when the component is press fitted into the socket. Each of the first and second concentric surfaces comprises one or more longitudinal cutting teeth. When the given tubular component is press fitted into the socket, the one or more longitudinal cutting teeth are designed to cut one or more longitudinal grooves into respective outer and inner surfaces of the composite material tubular component.

ARRANGEMENT IN ARTICULATED JOINT OF WORK MACHINE
20180320336 · 2018-11-08 · ·

The present disclosure relates to an arrangement in an articulated joint of a work machine wherein at least two machine parts are rotatably fastened to each other with a conical sleeve shaft joint in which a conical sleeve is pressed against a conical sleeve shaft by an intermediate plate. This intermediate plate includes members for receiving a channel and for connecting the channel to a lubrication channel. The members are formed on the intermediate plate's outer casing which connects a counter-surface to a pressing surface on the side of the conical sleeve to provide a continuous passage for the conical sleeve shaft of the articulated joint.

ADJUSTABLE JOINT ASSEMBLY

A joint assembly including a housing including an inner diameter portion having a tapered surface; and at least one shaft having an outer diameter portion having a tapered surface that is complementary in shape to the inner diameter portion of the housing, where the shaft is adapted to rotate relative to the housing, and where the frictional fit is adjustable by modifying the axial position of the shaft relative to the housing.

Method for changing a sliding bearing pad arranged on a rotor shaft of a rotor bearing of a wind turbine

A method for changing slide bearing pads arranged on a rotor shaft of a rotor bearing arrangement of a wind turbine, includes the method steps: moving the slide bearing pad to be changed to a removal opening by rotating the rotor shaft; releasing an axial securing element of the slide bearing pad to be changed; axially removing the slide bearing pad to be changed through the removal opening; axially inserting a new slide bearing pad through the removal opening; and fixing the new slide bearing pad by the axial securing element. A slide bearing pad changing device with a manipulation arm that is movable relative to a base frame is used for axially removing the slide bearing pad to be changed and for axially inserting a new slide bearing pad, wherein the manipulation arm is configured for coupling with the slide bearing pad.

ROLLING BEARING ARRANGEMENT

Rolling bearing arrangements with adjustable bearing play are disclosed. In one example, a rolling bearing arrangement may include a two-row rolling bearing comprising two bearing rings. An adjusting ring of adjustable diameter and having a variable width in a radial direction may be arranged between the bearing rings. The adjusting ring may be of a split design and include a bolt that passes through an aperture in one end of the adjusting ring and is screwed into a threaded hole in the other end of the adjusting ring.

BUSHING ANTI-ROTATION SYSTEM AND APPARATUS

A bushing anti-rotation system and apparatus. A bushing anti-rotation system includes an impeller and diffuser stage including a rotatable shaft extending longitudinally through the stage, the diffuser having an inner diameter defining a bore, a bearing set including a bushing pressed into the inner diameter, and a rotatable sleeve inward of the bushing, and means for wedging the bushing against the inner diameter of the diffuser, wherein the means for wedging provides a mechanical lock against rotation of the bushing. The means for wedging the bushing against the diffuser includes one of a key wedged between an eccentric cavity in the diffuser and a notch in the bushing, a pin protruding from the diffuser against a flattened portion of the bushing, a square-shaped bushing secured into a square-shaped bore, a bent retaining ring having a bent end that wedges against a diffuser groove wall, or a combination thereof.

Device for handling a shaft forming a pivoting link between at least two parts

A device for handling a shaft forming a pivoting link between two parts, including a body configured to be inserted into the shaft, and blocked in translation with respect to the shaft along a longitudinal axis in a first direction, a compression nut screwed onto a threaded outer portion of the body along the axis in a second direction opposite the first direction, a bearing member positioned against one of the parts, and a return member configured to be compressed between the compression nut and the bearing member by the screwing of the compression nut and to be decompressed in the second direction under the action of the compression nut. This device allows the shaft of the pivoting link to be handled rapidly, and makes it possible to control the load applied onto the shaft during the handling thereof.

Composite Tubular Structure
20170198734 · 2017-07-13 ·

A composite tubular structure is described suitable for transmitting axial loads in compression or tension. It comprises an elongate composite member 70 having a nut 50 retained in each end for forming a connection with another component. The composite member further comprises an inwardly tapered section at each end, each of which has an inner surface that follows a tapered outer surface of one of the embedded nuts. The inwardly tapered section narrows the composite member in a longitudinal direction towards one end so as to provide a constriction which retains the respective nut within. A connector 80, 84, 86 may clamp the end with a pre-load. A liner 60 may be used to support the nuts during deposition of the filaments in order to form the two inwardly tapered sections at the ends. It can allow the wall of the structure to be formed with different profiles.
