The continuous groove includes two axial grooves that extend along the outer coupling surface along the longitudinal axis and a first parallel groove that extends circumferentially about the longitudinal axis along the outer coupling surface that joins the two axial grooves.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MAKING COMPOSITE SHAFTS
An apparatus for forming a composite shaft may comprise an axial fiber strip dispensing assembly and a hoop fiber strip dispensing assembly. The axial fiber strip dispensing assembly may include a plurality of fiber strip guides located circumferentially about a center axis. The plurality of fiber strip guides may be configured to dispense a plurality of circumferentially adjacent first fiber strips with the plurality of circumferentially adjacent first fiber strips extending in a generally axial direction. The hoop fiber strip dispensing assembly may be configured to dispense a second fiber strip circumferentially about the center axis.
Propshaft assembly having yoke friction welded to propshaft tube
A propshaft assembly that includes a propshaft tube and a weld yoke. The propshaft tube has a wall member. The weld yoke has a yoke body with an annular outer surface and an annular inner surface. The propshaft tube is welded to the yoke body such that a portion of the propshaft tube is disposed radially between the annular outer and inner surfaces and embedded into an axial end of the yoke body.
Double butterfly cage for a ball bearing and method of fabricating a double butterfly cage for a ball bearing
A cage for a ball bearing, including: a first annular flange; a second annular flange; a plurality of ball retention segments; and a plurality of spaces. Each ball retention segment includes: a first portion fixedly connected to the first annular flange; a second portion fixedly connected to the second annular flange; and, a middle portion connecting the first portion and the second portion. Each space is circumferentially bounded by a respective pair of circumferentially adjacent ball retention segments, and arranged to receive a ball of the ball bearing. A cross-section, including the first annular flange, the second annular flange, and a ball retention segment of the plurality of ball retention segments, is in a shape of an M.
WIND TURBINE GEARBOX AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A WIND TURBINE GEARBOX
The invention relates to a wind turbine gearbox (7), in particular planetary gearbox, having at least one gear (14) which is mounted on an axle (19), wherein a sliding surface (26) is arranged between the gear (14) and the axle (19). The sliding surface (26) is arranged on at least one layer (25, 33, 34) of a clad material made from a sliding bearing material. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing the wind turbine gearbox (7).
A cross-section, including the first annular flange, the second annular flange, and a ball retention segment of the plurality of ball retention segments is in a shape of an M.
BIOSTIMULATOR TRANSPORT SYSTEM HAVING WELDLESS BEARING RETAINER
A transport system for delivery or retrieval of a biostimulator, such as a leadless cardiac pacemaker, is described. The biostimulator transport system includes a docking cap supported by a bearing within a bearing housing. The bearing allows relative rotation between a torque shaft connected to the docking cap and an outer catheter connected to the bearing housing. The bearing housing and the docking cap include respective bearing retainers that constrain the bearing within the bearing housing without a weld attachment. The weldless retainers of the biostimulator transport system provide a robust mechanical securement of the bearing that is not vulnerable to corrosion. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
CAGE FOR A ROLLER BEARING FOR ROTATIONALLY MOUNTING A HIGH-SPEED SHAFT
A roller bearing for rotationally mounting a high-speed shaft, such as a shaft for a turbocharger, includes a cage. The cage has two rings and a plurality of connecting elements and cavities for the rolling bodies. The connecting elements extend axially between the cage rings, and the cavities are located between the connecting elements. The cage is made from a metallic material and is formed according to a shaping method, wherein two tangentially adjacent ends of the cage are interconnected in a material fit.
Motor Vehicle Drive Shaft and Method for Producing It
A motor vehicle drive shaft has a receptacle tube component with a receptacle internal diameter and a push-fit component with a push-fit external diameter. The push-fit external diameter is smaller than or equal to the receptacle internal diameter. The receptacle tube component and the push-fit component can be rotated about a common drive shaft rotational axis and extend along the latter in a longitudinal direction. The receptacle tube component and the push-fit component are connected to one another for the transmission of torque. A connecting component is provided, wherein the connecting component is connected in a torque-conducting manner to the receptacle tube component by way of a receptacle connection. The connecting component is connected to the push-fit component by way of a push-fit connection. At least one of the two connections is configured as a combined frictionally locking and positively locking shaft/hub connection.
