The radially inner surface further includes a secondary chip groove formed therein axially offset from the primary chip groove that is defined by a second cutting edge for spline cutting the shaft inserted into the radially inner surface.

The washer assembly saves the internal space of the torque converter and saves the material cost of the washer.

A crank-operated packer mechanism includes crank pins and crank arms assembled by a tapered spline connection. The connection includes tapered spline features on outer ends of the crank pins and in openings provided at outer ends of the crank arms, which interlock when the crank pins are inserted in the openings. The connection further includes a locking feature for locking the connection, such as a locking nut screwed onto a threaded outer end of the crank pins when inserted into the opening. Fixing of rotary bearings onto the crank pins is done by a fixing nut which at the same time serves as a disassembling aid for the spline connection. The crank arms are shaped in a way that deviates from a straight shape to such an extent that the crank shaft is statically balanced about its central rotation axis. The device further comprises: a locking sleeve (16) positioned around the rod and comprising a second anti-rotation form (60, 62) capable of being assembled to the first anti-rotation form; and an elastic element (18) connected to the locking sleeve. In a locked position, the first (38, 40) and second (60, 62) anti-rotation forms are assembled; and in a release position, said anti-rotation forms are axially spaced apart, whereby the tube is free to rotate relative to the sleeve.

According to the invention, the transmission shaft (18) and the rotor shaft (14) are coupled to another in a rotationally fixed manner, wherein a third rolling bearing (28) which has an inner bearing ring (30) is arranged at the transition between the transmission shaft (18) and the rotor shaft (14), wherein the inner bearing ring (30) is in contact with the rotor shaft (14) and the transmission shaft (18) with its inner surface (32).

A torque transmission shaft includes a shaft and a clamp. The shaft includes: a male serration in one axial end portion; a slit in the other axial end portion, the slit axially extending and having a closed end on one side and an open end on the other side; a fitting cylinder portion in the other axial end portion; and a female serration provided in of the other axial end portion. The clamp includes: a discontinuous portion arranged at one place in the circumferential direction; a pair of flange portions arranged on both sides of the discontinuous portion; a connecting portion connecting the flange portions; and an insertion hole for fitting cylinder portion. The clamp is fitted onto the fitting cylinder portion to reduce the diameter of the fitting cylinder portion by narrowing the width dimension of the discontinuous portion.
