Assembly of shaft and yoke
A yoke has a yoke main body portion and a thin portion. The thin portion extends from the yoke main body portion toward the shaft, and is thinner than the yoke main body portion. The front end of the shaft is a large-diameter portion that has a larger diameter than an adjacent portion. The yoke main body portion has a yoke general-diameter portion and a step portion. The yoke general-diameter portion has an inner diameter that is substantially equal to an outer diameter of the large-diameter portion. The step portion extends from an end of the yoke general-diameter portion toward an axial line, and has an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the large-diameter portion. The step portion abuts a front end of the large-diameter portion. The thin portion has reduced-radius portions that have smaller radii than the outer radius of the large-diameter portion.
CONNECTING ROD
A connecting rod of an example in the present disclosure is divided into a rod body and a cap at an oblique division at a large end, the rod body and the cap fastened by bolts. The connecting rod includes a joining plane and first and second restricting parts. The joining plane is a flat joining surface parallel to the division surface of the large end and is formed on at least one of two abutting portions on which the rod body and the cap join. The first and second restricting parts restrict lateral deviations of the rod body in first and second directions with respect to the cap, respectively. The first and second directions are opposite directions. Each of the first and second restricting parts restricts the lateral deviations by a single set of first or second opposing surface provided between the rod body and the cap.

BEARING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF INSTALLATION
A bearing assembly and method of installation. A ball bearing includes an outer race, an inner race, and a separate L-shaped sleeve. In one embodiment, the sleeve is comprised of an axially extending body and a radially extending flange. The axially extending body is configured to be located between an inner diameter of the inner race and a transmission shaft, and the radially extending flange is configured to be located between an inner side surface of the inner race and the transmission shaft. The L-shaped sleeve with splines makes it feasible to sequentially press fit both the inner race and the outer race of the ball bearing. The spline in the axially extending body of the sleeve can slip-fit with the transmission shaft, allowing for ease of assembly, and enabling a press-fit connection between the ball bearing outer race and housing. This arrangement can help reduce wear, particularly to the housing, and better control axial movement of the bearing assembly due to gear thrust load direction change during operation.
Clamping configuration for wheel bearing assembly
A wheel bearing assembly is disclosed herein. The assembly includes a joint element having a first spline portion defined on an axial surface and a nose. An inner ring is provided that includes a through hole configured to receive at least a portion of the joint element and an abutment flange defined within the through hole. The inner ring includes a second spline portion configured to matingly engage with the first spline, and the nose of the joint element is configured to extend axially within the abutment flange. A connection assembly is configured to connect the inner ring and the joint element, and a portion of the connection assembly abuts a first axial end of the abutment flange.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRELOADING A BEARING AND ALIGNING A LOCK NUT
An apparatus for providing a load on a bearing mounted to a shaft includes an attaching member releasably connectable to the shaft. A press mechanism is coupled to the attaching member and is configured to provide a compressive load to the bearing. An optical sending unit is configured to output a high intensity light to allow a user to locate a shaft slot of the shaft to align the press mechanism relative to the shaft when the attaching member connects to the shaft.
Power transmission shaft
A propeller shaft (PS) has a balance piece (9) on the outer peripheral side of a stub shaft body section (31) of a stub shaft (3), which is axially separated from both spline sections (25, 34), which are spline fitting sections. Due to this configuration, changes in the gap in both spline sections (25, 34) when the balance piece (9) is welded are minimized, and the occurrence of new rotational imbalance can be minimized. As a result, rotational imbalance in the propeller shaft (PS) due to the balance piece (9) can be corrected appropriately and easily.
Structure with thermoplastic elastomer enveloping layer, bearing, and drive module
A structure includes an enveloping layer formed on one of a circular outer surface or a flat outer surface having irregularities, wherein the enveloping layer includes an outer circumferential surface layer formed by thermally fusing a thermoplastic elastomer. The enveloping layer has a first material layer provided on one of the outer surfaces and formed from an amorphos plastic, and a second material layer provided on the first material layer and formed from a thermoplastic elastomer selected from the group consisting of styrenes, olefins, polyvinyl chlorides, urethanes and polyesters.
Splined shaft
A splined shaft includes splines evenly distributed over the periphery, wherein the splines being spaced apart from each other. At least one portion of the splines are spaced apart by a modified pitch p with respect to the nominal pitch pn of the splines. The ratio of the absolute value of the difference between the modified pitch and the nominal pitch, to the nominal pitch, i.e. |pnp|/pn, is different from zero, for example between 0.5 and 5%.
Axial load capable torque tube assembly and manufacturing methods thereof
An assembly and a method for manufacturing an assembly for transmitting torque to an aircraft actuator. The assembly and method include a torque tube having a longitudinal axis and an end fitting. The ending fitting includes a connector portion and an engagement portion that is inserted into the torque tube. The engagement portion includes a first end adjacent the connector portion, a second end opposite the first end, and a coupling region between the first and second end that includes an outer coupling surface having an outer diameter and a continuous groove formed thereon. The continuous groove includes two axial grooves that extend along the outer coupling surface along the longitudinal axis and a first parallel groove that extends circumferentially about the longitudinal axis along the outer coupling surface that joins the two axial grooves.
