Bearing unit with optimized anchoring of the sealing device
A bearing unit having a radially outer ring, a radially inner ring, a row of rolling elements interposed between the outer ring and the inner ring, a shaped sealing screen interposed between the inner ring and the outer ring and stably inserted inside a first seat of the outer ring, and a snap ring stably inserted inside a second seat of the radially outer ring and interacting with the shaped screen so as to lock it in the first seat.
Gearbox and associated aircraft
A gearbox including an angular contact ball bearing comprising a first row of balls provided with a plurality of balls, a second row of balls provided with another plurality of balls, at least one inner ring and at least one outer ring. According to the invention, in a degraded operating mode of the bearing, the first row of balls is configured to transmit at least one first axial force oriented along a first axis and at least one second axial force oriented along a second axis opposite the first axis, the second row of balls transmitting no axial force.
Gearboxes for aircraft gas turbine engines
Gearboxes for aircraft gas turbine engines, in particular arrangements for journal bearings such gearboxes, and related methods of operating such gearboxes and gas turbine engines. A gearbox for an aircraft gas turbine engine includes: a sun gear; a plurality of planet gears surrounding and engaged with the sun gear; and a ring gear surrounding and engaged with the plurality of planet gears, each of the plurality of planet gears being rotatably mounted around a pin of a planet gear carrier with a journal bearing having an internal sliding surface on the planet gear and an external sliding surface on the pin.
FLOATING JOINT AND ULTRASONIC VIBRATION JOINING APPARATUS
A floating joint includes a driving side coupling portion and a driven side coupling portion serving as first and second connections. A pressure adjusting structure in the floating joint is provided between the bottom surface exposed region of the spherical portion for contact and the bottom surface facing region of a fixing ring without a gap, and has elasticity. Therefore, the floating joint relatively firmly maintains the one-side spherical contact relationship, in which the top region of the spherical portion for contact contacts a part of the bottom surface portion of the frame body by the elastic force of the pressure adjusting structure.
Wheel bearing seal having an integrated outer seal
A sealing device and a sealing arrangement which creates an improved outer seal in front of the sealing lips, for example, wherein the outer seal can be used in a confined space and affords an enhanced sealing effect for a low coefficient of friction and/or ease of fitting
BALL BEARING
A ball bearing is provided which includes a cage made of a resin, and having pockets open to the side surface of the cage on its one axial side. The ball bearing includes an outer bearing ring including a radially protruding engagement portion on the other axial side of the raceway surface. The cage includes engagement portions disposed on the other axial side of the pockets so as to be engageable with the engagement portion of the outer bearing ring in the other axial direction. The relationship between the axial depth H of each pocket and the diameter d of the ball is set at 0.15d≤H≤0.65d. By setting the above relationship in this way, it is possible to reduce the deformation of the cage due to a centrifugal force, and to reduce the shear resistance of lubricating oil between the pockets and the balls.
Roller bearing assembly
An inner ring cooperates with an outer ring to form a roller bearing assembly. The inner ring comprises an outer circumferential surface receiving a plurality of roller bearing elements engageable with the outer ring upon forming of the roller bearing assembly. An inner circumferential surface of the inner ring is slideably mountable to a shaft upon forming of the roller bearing assembly and includes a base portion slideably engageable with a surface of the shaft upon mounting and at least one cutout portion opening to an outer edge of the inner circumferential surface. A clearance forms between a surface of the at least one cutout portion and the surface of the shaft upon mounting. Upon forming of the roller bearing assembly, the base portion of the circumferential surface is engageable with the shaft subsequently to the plurality of roller bearing elements engaging with the outer ring.
Tapered roller bearing and cage
A tapered roller bearing includes an inner ring, an outer ring, a plurality of tapered rollers, and an annular cage having a plurality of cage pockets. Each of the cage pockets has a retainer configured to permit displacement of the tapered roller in a direction with a component in a radial direction, and restrict detachment of the tapered roller to an outer side in the radial direction by bringing the retainer into contact with a part of an outer peripheral surface of the tapered roller. The cage pockets include a first cage pocket having a first retainer with which a permissible amount of the displacement is a first displacement amount, and a second cage pocket having a second retainer with which the permissible amount of the displacement is a second displacement amount smaller than the first displacement amount.
BEARING ASSEMBLY
A bearing assembly is proposed including a rolling bearing of which a bearing ring is fitted to the mating member, i.e., a shaft or a housing, with a clearance fit. Of the bearing ring and the mating member, the bearing ring has a flank face that separates a fitting surface of the bearing ring across the entire width thereof. The flank face defines a radial gap between the bearing ring and the housing. In a load receiving region where the radial gap remains, a portion of the bearing ring which is deformed in a wave-shaped pattern is kept out of contact with the fitting surface of the housing. The wave-shaped deformation of the bearing ring does not act as traveling waves that cause creep of the bearing ring.
