Hybrid ball bearing, particularly for refrigerant compressor
A Hybrid ball bearing including an outer raceway, an inner raceway, and a plurality of balls arranged between the inner raceway and the outer raceway. The outer raceway and the inner raceway are made from bearing steel and have a first surface RMS roughness R.sub.q1. At least one ball of the plurality of balls is made from a ceramic material and has a second surface RMS roughness R.sub.q2. In a mint condition, the roughness of the raceways R.sub.q1 is 2 to 5 times higher than the roughness R.sub.q2 of the at least one ball, as well as a refrigerant compressor comprising such a hybrid ball bearing.
Continuous diamond surface bearings for sliding engagement with metal surfaces
Bearings assemblies are provided that include polycrystalline diamond bearing surfaces that are engaged with opposing, metal bearing surfaces that include more than trace amounts of diamond solvent-catalyst. In the bearings, the opposing bearing surface is slidingly engaged with the polycrystalline diamond bearing surface along a diamond contact area of the polycrystalline diamond bearing surface, and the polycrystalline diamond bearing surface is a continuous surface along the diamond contact area. Also provided are methods of making and using the bearing assemblies.
Sealing Device for Hub Bearing
A hub seal seals a gap between an outer race member and an inner race member of a hub bearing. The hub seal includes: an annular base; and a seal member attached to the base and including an annular elastic material. The seal member includes a side lip extending toward an outer side and an intermediate lip extending toward the outer side on an inner periphery side relative to the side lip. A sliding surface of the side lip that comes into contact to seal the gap between the outer race member and the inner race member is rougher than a sliding surface of the intermediate lip that comes into contact to seal the gap between the outer race member and the inner race member.
ROLLING BEARING
To provide a rolling bearing having superior handling property and creep resistance. A rolling bearing 1 includes an inner ring 2 and an outer ring 3 that are raceway rings, and a plurality of balls 4 interposed between the inner ring and the outer ring. The outer ring 3 is fitted to a housing 10. The rolling bearing 1 includes a surface coating film 8 on an outer ring outer diametrical surface 3a that is a fitting surface with the housing 10. The surface coating film 8 contains: a binder containing two or more kinds of thermosetting resins having different average molecular weights; and a solid lubricant. The solid lubricant contains molybdenum disulfide, polytetrafluoroethylene resin, and graphite.
POLYCRYSTALLINE DIAMOND RADIAL BEARING
A radial bearing assembly is provided. The radial bearing assembly includes polycrystalline diamond elements, each having an engagement surface in sliding engagement with an opposing engagement surface. The opposing engagement surface includes a diamond reactive material. The radial bearing assembly may be deployed in a variety of components and applications, including in rotor and stator assemblies. Also provided are methods of use of the radial bearing assembly, as well as methods of designing the radial bearing assembly.
Inspecting method and inspecting device of raceway ring member
A photographing step of obtaining an original image by photographing a part or all of a sliding surface using a camera is performed and then an imaging process of detecting machining marks on the original image is performed; a detecting step of obtaining a detection image is performed; and an evaluating step of estimating a difference of a rotation torque of the raceway ring member with respect to another raceway ring member on the basis of the detection image in a direction of relative rotation between the raceway ring member and the other raceway ring member when a rolling bearing is constituted by combining a raceway ring member with the other raceway ring member is performed.
Sliding member and method for manufacturing sliding member
A sliding member having a supporting layer composed of an iron-based metallic material and a sliding layer formed on a surface of the supporting layer and composed of a copper-based metallic material. The surface of the supporting layer and the sliding layer have non-flat surfaces. A sliding surface having a non-flat surface is formed on the surface of the sliding layer. The sliding layer is formed on the roughened surface of the supporting layer by thermal spraying. The surface of the sliding layer is then subjected to a shot blasting treatment to form the sliding surface which has an uneven surface having an arithmetic average roughness (Ra) of more than 0 m and 2.0 m or less, a ten-point average roughness (Rz) of more than 0 m and 7.5 m or less and a surface hardness (Hv) of 150-250, and which slidably supports an object to be slid.
SLIDING MEMBER AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
A problem is to provide a sliding member capable of easily improving friction characteristics, and a production method therefor. A solution is a sliding member 10, wherein a sliding portion 11 is formed of a metallic material, and the sliding member 10 has, on a surface of the sliding portion 11, a Cr-containing modified layer 12 formed by blasting a shot media containing Cr as a composition. The sliding member 10 slides under an environment of a lubricant containing Mo as an additive, in which active Cr exposed on the surface by sliding accelerates decomposition reaction of the additive contained in the lubricant to form a molybdenum disulfide-containing film having low friction on the surface of the sliding portion 11.
SLIDABLE STRUCTURE AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A structure including a sliding layer that is formed on a roughened surface of a substrate and that has an excellent slidability, and a method for producing the structure. The sliding layer is formed of a powder of a carbon-composition-containing resin composition filled in at least concavities of roughness on the roughened surface.
Rolling bearing retainer, rolling bearing, and method for manufacturing rolling bearing retainer
A synthetic resin rolling bearing retainer is to be arranged between an inner ring and an outer ring of a rolling bearing. A plurality of guided portions protruding radially outward from an outer diameter surface of the retainer is provided along a circumferential direction of the outer diameter surface. Each of the guided portions has a guide surface protruding to be in sliding contact with the outer ring, a chamfered portion formed at an edge portion of the guide surface, and a groove portion formed at a portion of the guide surface in an axial direction. The guide surface and the chamfered portion have surface properties where an arithmetic average roughness Ra is 1.0 to 9.8 m and a maximum height Rt is 10.1 to 102.9 m. A parting line is provided radially inside the guide surface.
