A hybrid roller bearing having an inner raceway and an outer raceway and a plurality of rollers arranged therebetween. The inner raceway and the outer raceway are made from bearing steel and have a first surface RMS roughness R.sub.q1. At least one roller is made from a ceramic material and has at least at the roller raceway a second surface RMS roughness R.sub.q2. The roughness of the raceways R.sub.q1 is 1.2 to 4 times higher than the roughness R.sub.q2 of the at least one roller, as well as a refrigerant compressor with such a hybrid roller bearing.

A lubricant for a rolling-element bearing includes a conventional lubricant as a base lubricant and at least one first additive, wherein the first additive includes muscovite, and the lubricant includes a proportion of muscovite that is between 3% and 5%. Also a method of lubricating a rolling-element bearing using the lubricant and a method of repairing a rolling-element bearing using the lubricant.
Gas bearing and method for producing same
The invention relates to a gas bearing for contactlessly bearing a rotatable element (50). The gas bearing comprises: a housing (100) having an opening for receiving the rotatable element; and at least two sliding films (200), which are arranged on an interior (110) of the opening without overlap and which each have a first end portion (210) and a second end portion (220) for support on the housing (100). The sliding films (200) are designed to radially support the rotatable element relative to the housing (100) only by means of the first and second end portions (210, 220), the second end portion (220) providing frictional contact with the interior (110) and the first end portion (210) being fastened to the housing.
CHAIN JOINT ASSEMBLY
A chain joint assembly includes a pin integral with at least one respective first chain link and a bushing, integral with at least one respective second chain link. The pin and the bushing are coaxial. The bushing has a constant inside diameter. At least one elastic ring is interposed between the pin and the bushing. The at least one elastic ring is substantially aligned with the portion of bushing which is coupled to a respective second chain link.

In an embodiment, a bearing assembly includes a support ring. The bearing assembly includes at least one superhard bearing element. The at least one superhard bearing element includes a superhard bearing surface having a polished surface finished or a textured surface. The at least one superhard bearing element is secured to the support ring.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MULTI-LAYER PLAIN BEARING
The invention relates to a method for producing a multi-layer plain bearing element with a first layer made from a metal having an inner face, whereby this inner face is cleaned by scanning the entire inner face by means of a laser and at least one other layer is then applied to the inner face of the first layer. The cleaning is carried out using an ultrashort pulse laser.
Sliding element
A sliding element with one substrate and at least one layer of a sliding layer material applied to the substrate is described. The sliding layer material can consist of a sliding coating with at least one cross-linkable bonding agent or at least one high-melting thermoplastic material or which consists of a material with a matrix of at least one high-melting thermoplastic material or at least one duroplastic material. This sliding layer material contains Fe.sub.2O.sub.3 with a preferred proportion 0.1 to 15% by volume.
