Manufacturing method for slinger used in rotary seal, and rotary seal

A manufacturing method of a slinger, includes steps of: molding an annular blank material from a dull-finished steel sheet material through sheet metal press working or the like; and burring the blank material to mold a slinger. The values of the arithmetical mean roughness Ra of faces, of a burring mold, which individually come into contact with first and second slide-contact surfaces of the slinger, are set to 0.03 μm≤Ra≤0.07 μm. A ratio of pressure application force for holding the blank material between the faces to the 0.2% proof stress of the dull-finished material, is set to 1.0 or more and 1.53 or less. A clearance for the burring mold is set to T×(0.9 to 0.7) where “T” represents the sheet thickness of the blank material.

POLYCRYSTALLINE DIAMOND RADIAL BEARING

A radial bearing assembly is provided. The radial bearing assembly includes polycrystalline diamond elements, each having an engagement surface in sliding engagement with an opposing engagement surface. The opposing engagement surface includes a diamond reactive material. The radial bearing assembly may be deployed in a variety of components and applications, including in rotor and stator assemblies. Also provided are methods of use of the radial bearing assembly, as well as methods of designing the radial bearing assembly.

Link component with oil hole

A link component (150) with an oil hole (150E) is attached to a crankshaft (106) of an internal combustion engine (E), and the oil hole (150E) allows communication from an outside to the crankshaft (106) side. The oil hole (150E) has an inclined surface (150F) along an opening rim on the crankshaft (106) side. A surface other than the oil hole (150E) has a carbon concentration of 0.5 wt % or more. The inclined surface (150F) has a carbon concentration within a range of 0.7 wt % or more and 0.9 wt % or less. Production cost is suppressed, and at the same time, damage is prevented by increasing resistance of the oil-hole part on which stress is liable to concentrate.

Fastening structure

A fastening structure (105) includes a pair of fastening members (105A) joined to each other, which is coupled with a bolt. The fastening member (105) is made of steel. A surface other than joint surfaces (Sa) has a Rockwell hardness of 50 HRC or more. The joint surfaces (Sa) have a Rockwell hardness of 30 HRC or more and less than 50 HRC. The joint surfaces (Sa) have an arithmetic mean roughness (Ra) of 0.2 μm or more and 0.5 μm or less. Production cost is suppressed, and at the same time, bending fatigue strength is secured and secondary damage due to abrasion powder generated by fretting is prevented.

Thrust roller bearing

A thrust roller bearing includes a plurality of radially arranged rollers, and a pair of annular washers having raceway surfaces on which the rollers roll. The raceway surfaces are arranged to face each other. The roller is made of high-carbon chromium bearing steel and has a surface roughness of 0.01 to 0.10 in terms of Rvk and 0.01 to 0.08 in terms of Rk. At least one of the washers is made of carbon steel, surface compressive residual stress of the raceway surface is −1400 MPa to −1000 MPa, and Vickers hardness of surface of the raceway surface is 850 to 900.

A photographing step of obtaining an original image by photographing a part or all of a sliding surface using a camera is performed and then an imaging process of detecting machining marks on the original image is performed; a detecting step of obtaining a detection image is performed; and an evaluating step of estimating a difference of a rotation torque of the raceway ring member with respect to another raceway ring member on the basis of the detection image in a direction of relative rotation between the raceway ring member and the other raceway ring member when a rolling bearing is constituted by combining a raceway ring member with the other raceway ring member is performed.

BALL BEARING
20220099142 · 2022-03-31 · ·

A ball bearing is provided which includes a cage made of a resin, and having pockets open to the side surface of the cage on its one axial side. The ball bearing includes an outer bearing ring including a radially protruding engagement portion on the other axial side of the raceway surface. The cage includes engagement portions disposed on the other axial side of the pockets so as to be engageable with the engagement portion of the outer bearing ring in the other axial direction. The relationship between the axial depth H of each pocket and the diameter d of the ball is set at 0.15d≤H≤0.65d. By setting the above relationship in this way, it is possible to reduce the deformation of the cage due to a centrifugal force, and to reduce the shear resistance of lubricating oil between the pockets and the balls.
