The chamber having Ethanol in liquid and/or gaseous state. The rings are coated with diamond-like carbon (DLC) material.
Axial load capable torque tube assembly and manufacturing methods thereof
An assembly and a method for manufacturing an assembly for transmitting torque to an aircraft actuator. The assembly and method include a torque tube having a longitudinal axis and an end fitting. The ending fitting includes a connector portion and an engagement portion that is inserted into the torque tube. The engagement portion includes a first end adjacent the connector portion, a second end opposite the first end, and a coupling region between the first and second end that includes an outer coupling surface having an outer diameter and a continuous groove formed thereon. The continuous groove includes two axial grooves that extend along the outer coupling surface along the longitudinal axis and a first parallel groove that extends circumferentially about the longitudinal axis along the outer coupling surface that joins the two axial grooves.
Thrust disc, magnetic bearing and apparatus
A thrust disc for a magnetic bearing, wherein the thrust disc comprises: a body, which is adapted to be mounted on a shaft and which has a first offset yield strength and a first magnetic permeability, and at least one flange which is fixed to the body in a position where it can interact with a thrust stator in order to form a magnetic bearing and which has a second offset yield strength and a second magnetic permeability; wherein the first offset yield strength is higher than the second offset yield strength; and wherein the first magnetic permeability is smaller than the second magnetic permeability. Additionally, the magnetic bearing can be equipped with such a thrust disc. An apparatus can be equipped with such a magnetic bearing.
Power transmission shaft and method for manufacturing same
A propeller shaft (1) that is a power transmission shaft has a shaft member (2) as a tubular body made of iron-based metal and a balance weight (3) made of iron-based metal and welded to an outer peripheral surface of this shaft member (2). At least a part of the balance weight (3) of the propeller shaft (1) is covered with a sacrificial metal coating (4) made of sacrificial corrosion prevention material that contains metal whose ionization tendency is higher than that of metal forming the shaft member (2). With this, it is possible to suppress local progression of corrosion at a periphery of the balance weight (3) and improve durability of the propeller shaft (1).
Magnetic bearing and rotary machine comprising such a bearing
A magnetic bearing comprising a stator magnetic circuit secured to a stationary support device, the stator magnetic circuit comprising at least one coil and a ferromagnetic body placed in a protective annular support, the protective annular support leaving uncovered a surface of the ferromagnetic body and a surface of the at least one coil. The bearing also comprises at least one annular plug placed on the surface of the at least one coil which is left uncovered by the protective annular support, and the annular plug and the surface of the ferromagnetic body which is left uncovered by the protective annular support are coated by a protective layer.
BEARING SEALING DEVICE
A bearing sealing device includes two seals (inner and outer seals) sealing the space between the inner and outer races of a bearing to ensure higher seal performance, and also to reduce the area of the inner periphery of the outer race that needs to be ground. The bearing sealing device includes a ring constituted by a metal annulus, and a rubber part. The metal annulus is formed by cold pressing, and has a seal contact surface kept in contact with seal lips of the outer seal. The rubber part includes a press-fitted portion fixed to the inner periphery of the outer race. The inner race has, on its outer periphery, a cylindrical fitting surface to which the outer seal is press-fitted.
ROLLING-ELEMENT BEARING WITH SEALS AND PURGING CHANNEL
A rolling-element bearing includes first and second concentric ring assemblies. The first ring assembly has a first rolling ring and a first sealing ring abutting axially at a joint, and the first sealing ring supports a first seal element and a second seal element located axially between the first sealing element and the first rolling ring. The second ring assembly has a second rolling ring and a second sealing ring mounted axially at a joint, and rolling elements support the ring assemblies for relative rotation. The first and second seal elements have lips in contact with the second sealing ring, and the lips delimit a first chamber between the first and second sealing rings. The first lip and the second lip extend obliquely toward each other, and a first purging channel extends from the first chamber to an external surface of the first ring assembly.
VEHICLE HAVING A PUMP DEVICE
A coolant pump is provided that includes a pump housing that receives a pump shaft for driving a pump member for a liquid medium in a medium chamber. The pump shaft is arranged at least in sections in the medium chamber and is rotatable mounted by means of an anti-friction bearing. The anti-friction bearing has a plurality of rolling bodies which are arranged in a rolling body chamber. The rolling body chamber and the medium chamber are fluidly connected, such that the anti-friction bearing device is lubricated and/or can be lubricated with the medium from the medium chamber.
Corrosion resistant article and methods of making
An article and method of forming the article are disclosed. The article has a surface comprising a nanostructured ferritic alloy. The surface includes a plurality of nanofeatures that include complex oxides of yttrium and titanium disposed in an iron-bearing alloy matrix. The iron-bearing alloy matrix at the surface includes about 5 weight percent to about 30 weight percent of chromium, and about 0.1 weight percent to about 10 weight percent of molybdenum. Further, a concentration of a chi phase or a sigma phase in the nanostructured ferritic alloy at the surface is less than about 5 volume percent. The method generally includes the steps of milling, thermo-mechanically consolidating, annealing, and then cooling at a rate that hinders the formation of chi and sigma phases in the nanostructured ferritic alloy at the surface.
BALL SOCKET FOR A BALL JOINT
A ball socket for a ball joint is provided, including a base body with a recess for receiving a ball head of the ball joint, wherein the recess includes a support region for supporting the ball head and a cylindrical insertion region for inserting the ball head in an insertion direction into the support region, and a securing element, wherein the securing element includes a connecting region and two retaining legs connected to one another by the connecting region.
