Actuator for seat adjustment devices
11185166 · 2021-11-30 · ·

An actuating drive, in particular for seat adjustment devices, comprising at least one electric motor, a downstream reduction gear, a coupling device which has a coupling engagement spring that ensures an engaged position of the coupling device during motorized operation and permits a manual disengagement against its coupling force. The coupling device has a coupling lever pivotably mounted in a pivot bearing of a bearing block. The coupling lever is connected at one end of the pivot bearing to a mechanical actuating unit and by which at the other end of the pivot bearing a coupling means can be adjusted to disengage the coupling device. The actuating drive ensures both reliable electrical and reliable manual operation, a high degree of efficiency during electrical operation and simple assembly for a generic actuating drive.

Adjustable frame for allowing a backrest to recline, a combination adjustable frame and vehicle and/or seat frame, and/or a method of use thereof
11186347 · 2021-11-30 ·

An adjustable frame configured to detachably connect to a backrest to allow the backrest to be transitioned between two or more angular positions relative to a horizontal plane, with at least one position being more upright and at least one position being more reclined. The adjustable frame may include a turret rotatably positioned on a base socket, the rotation of the turret from one position to another on the base socket causing the backrest to be held at a different angular position.

Bi-directional release handle for marine vessels

A release handle operable to modify a configurable furniture system of a boat is provided. The release handle includes a grip portion configured to be grasped by a user to rotate the release handle and a pivot portion coupled to the grip portion and including a first pivot point and a second pivot point. Both rotation about the first pivot point in a first direction and rotation about the second pivot point in a second direction operate to disengage a locking device and permit a modification of the configurable furniture system.

Rotational device for a vehicle seat
11214177 · 2022-01-04 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a rotational device for a vehicle seat having an upper connecting element and a lower connecting element, a ring shaped profile rail, where the ring shaped profile rail is guided by several rollers in a manner rotatable about a rotational axis, where the several rollers are each mounted in a manner rotatable about roller axes, and the rollers are in contact with interior contact surfaces of the profile rail in such a way that the rollers upon rotation of the profile rail roll off on the interior contact surfaces, thereby guiding the profile rail in its rotational movement about the rotational axis, whereby the upper connecting element is connected to the lower connecting element via the rotatable guided ring shaped profile rail in such a way that these can be twisted in relation to one another. According to the present disclosure it is provided for the roller axes of the several rollers to be determined such that the rollers are in contact with and roll off on several interior contact surfaces of the profile rail with different orientations, whereby each roller in and of itself can be in contact with and roll off on merely one of the several interior contact surfaces of the profile rail.

UNIVERSAL BALL BEARING CARRIAGE FOR SEAT TRACK ASSEMBLY

A carriage includes an elongated body having a first end and an opposing second end and a flange coupled to the first end of the elongated body. The flange includes a first portion having a first face and an opposing second face. The first portion defines a first aperture having a first diameter. The first portion includes (i) at least two first retainers protruding outward from the first face and extending at least partially over the first aperture and (ii) at least two second retainers protruding outward from the opposing second face and extending at least partially over the first aperture. The first retainers and the second retainers define a second diameter that is less than the first diameter. The first aperture, the first retainers, and the second retainers are configured to accommodate ball bearings having diameters between about 4.6 mm and about 5.4 mm.

Automotive slide member

The present disclosure relates to an automotive slide member including a first slide portion having a first lubricant applied between first portions of a first friction slide mechanism, and a second slide portion having a second lubricant applied between second portions of a second friction slide mechanism. The first slide portion is arranged at a part to be touched by an operator who attaches the automotive slide member to an automobile or a user of the automobile. The second slide portion is arranged at a part that is not touched by the operator who attaches the automotive slide member to the automobile or the user of the automobile. The second lubricant contains a relatively larger amount of conductive carbon than that of the first lubricant.

Tube joints with consistent friction torque and no clearance gap
11413990 · 2022-08-16 · ·

A bushing assembly includes a tube with an outer bearing surface, a metal part with an annular flange defining an opening and a plastic bushing with a bushing hub with an inner annular bushing contact surface and an axially extending metal part engagement surface. A friction torque setting connection is formed between the annular flange and the bushing hub and defines a rotational and axial connection between the annular flange and the bushing hub. The connection is configured to vary a radial force applied between the annular flange and the bushing hub with a deformation of bushing plastic material. This is to vary friction between the bushing contact surface and the tube outer bearing surface upon applying a torque to the plastic bushing, causing rotation and axial movement of the plastic bushing relative to the metal part, and causing the deformation of plastic material of the bushing hub.

Clip, clip assembly, and method of making and using the same

A clip for providing a sliding force towards a movable substrate, the clip including at least one strip, where the at least one strip comprises a first axial end and a second axial end and an arcuate shape between the first axial end and the second axial end; where the at least one strip is a metal strip including a sliding layer at an outbound side.

Stamped splined locking mechanism for rotating automotive seat bracket

A vehicle seat rotates in response to activation of an electric motor. The electric motor is part of a non-back-drivable mechanism such that it acts to lock the seat in position. The seat mechanism is assembled from stamped components for efficient manufacturing. A bracket includes integrally formed gear teeth which mesh with gear teeth driven by the electric motor. The bracket is held between two stamped parts using four-point angular contact ball bearings. The races of the ball bearings are stamped into the respective stamped parts.

Bush

Entanglement of bush main bodies is suppressed. At a bush, a shaft portion of a bush main body, which extends in a circumferential direction of a mounting hole of an outer anchor, covers a peripheral surface of the mounting hole. A first flange portion and a second flange portion of the bush main body are placed on an front and back sides of the outer anchor, respectively. Moreover, a connection portion connects both circumferential direction sides of the bush main body. The connection portion allows elastic deformation of a diameter of the bush main body, and the second flange portion can pass-through the mounting hole.
