Socket Assembly for a Ball Joint
A ball joint (28) includes a socket assembly (60) that provides a locking feature designed to work in combination with the ball stud to retain a rotatable connection between the ball stud (30) and the ball socket. The socket assembly includes a socket housing (62) and an elastic retaining member (82) that cooperate to prevent ball stud disengagement under operating loads. The socket housing includes a sidewall (65) that has an extended length relative to some conventional socket housings, and the elastic member is disposed in a circumferential groove formed in an outer surface of the ball socket at a location corresponding to the extended length.

WIPER DEVICE
A wiper device includes a pivot shaft, a pivot holder, a water receiving cap and a washer. The pivot holder includes a pivot support portion and a mounting leg. The pivot support portion pivotally supports the pivot shaft. The water receiving cap includes a boss portion and an umbrella portion. The boss portion is fitted onto the pivot support portion. The washer is fixed to a circumference of the pivot shaft at a portion projecting from a distal end of the pivot support portion. At least part of the boss portion overlaps the washer in an axial direction. The umbrella portion includes a projection that projects in the axial direction. The projection opposes the mounting leg in a circumferential direction without engaging the mounting leg in the axial direction.

The invention relates to a closing plate (3) for a windscreen wiper drive motor device (1) for a motor vehicle, said device (1) being of the type comprising a support (2), a shaft (5) being received therein, said shaft bearing an endless screw (6) which is capable of being driven in rotation by a motor (7), and being of the type in which said support (2) comprises a bush mounting (17) for receiving a bush (18) which is capable of supporting one end (5a) of the shaft (5), said plate (3) comprising a base (14) which is capable of closing said support (2), the closing plate (3) being characterized in that it comprises a closing tongue (20) which is made of the same material as the base (14) and serves as a water deflector for an orifice (19) formed in the end of the bush mounting (17) in the axis of rotation of the shaft (5). WIPER MOTOR AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A WIPER MOTOR
The invention relates to a wiper motor (10) with a shaft (30) for driving a wiper arm (1), wherein the shaft (30) projects through an opening (31) of a housing (15) and in the region of the opening (31) is mounted radially in a bore (55) of at least one substantially sleeve-shaped element (40), and wherein the sleeve-shaped element (40) is fixed at least axially in the region of the housing (15). According to the invention, it is provided that the sleeve-shaped element (40) has at least two different cross-sections (41, 42), a first cross-section (41) which is designed to protrude axially through the opening (31) and a second cross-section (42) which is designed to be accommodated in an axially fixed manner within said opening (31).
