POWER TRANSMISSION SHAFT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
In a propeller shaft, a crowning portion of a male spline portion is provided in a predetermined range including a front end portion in an axial direction, and a tooth tip surface is shaped in such a manner that a tooth thickness thereof gradually increases from the front end portion toward an intermediate portion of the male spline portion in the axial direction.
Insulated shaft joint
The present invention relates to an insulated shaft joint (1) for electrically insulating a rotational member (2) from an end section of a shaft (3) to which the rotational member (2) is connected. The insulated shaft joint (1) comprises a plurality of first grooves (4) arranged in an outer surface of the end section of the shaft (3) and extending in an axial direction of the shaft (3), one or more rows of electrically insulating members (5), and an annular electrically insulating cage (6) arranged circumferentially around the plurality of first grooves (4). The insulating cage (6) comprises one or more rows of through-going openings (7), arranged circumferentially. The through-going openings (7) is being shaped and dimensioned so that they are adapted to surround and guide the insulating members (5). The rotational member (2) is arranged circumferentially around the annular electrically insulating cage (6). The rotational member (2) comprises a plurality of second grooves (8) arranged in an inner surface of the rotational member (2) and extending in an axial direction of shaft (3). The through-going openings (7) in the insulating cage (6) are arranged aligned with the plurality of first grooves (4) and the plurality of second grooves (8). The insulating members (5) are arranged in the through-going openings (7) of the insulating cage (6) and in the first and second grooves, so as to be adapted to transfer torque from the shaft to the rotational member (2) via the insulating members (5).
SPLINE WITH SPHERICAL ALIGNMENT TERMINAL
There is disclosed in one example a spline assembly, including: a spline shaft having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is splined to engage a spline receiver of a primary drive system and includes a substantially spherical alignment head.
Inner spline with top land drainage hole
A spline coupling comprises a male spline member having male spline teeth and a female spline member having female spline teeth complementary to and engaged with the male spline teeth. One or more of the female spline teeth has a tooth height lesser than a tooth height of another one or more of the female spline teeth. The tooth height of the one or more of the female spline teeth is defined by a top land surface of the one or more of the female spline teeth. The tooth height of the other one or more of the female spline teeth is defined by a top land surface of the other one or more of the female spline teeth. A drainage hole in the top land surface of the one or more of the female spline teeth passes through the one or more of the female spline teeth.
Ball valve assembly
A dielectric insulating insert arranged to be positioned between a drive shaft and a ball shaft of a motorised ball valve assembly. The insert includes a body of dielectric material to form an insulating layer and having opposing sides from each of which extends an engagement portion having a non-circular cross-section and configured to engage, respectively, with the drive shaft and the ball shaft in torque transfer engagement.
DRIVING FORCE TRANSMISSION MECHANISM AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A driving force transmission mechanism is a mechanism for transmitting rotational force of the second rotor having a driving-side coupling to a first rotor having a driven-side coupling. The driving-side coupling includes a body and a plurality of second engaging members engaging with first engaging members of the driven-side coupling, each of the plurality of second engaging members has at an abutting point on an abutting surface of a corresponding first engaging member a first inclined surface inclined so as to be away from a rotation axis of the body from a downstream side toward an upstream side in a rotation direction of the body.
Electrically isolated tool with failsafe coating
An electrically isolated coupler includes a drive body, a driven body, an insulating member and an isolation coating. The drive body is made of first metallic material and has a drive end configured to interface with a fastening component. The drive body includes a first interface portion and the driven body includes a second interface portion. The driven body is made of a second metallic material and has a driven end configured to interface with a driving tool.
