Steering column assembly with protective clip
A steering column assembly includes a first shaft, a second shaft, and a clip. The first shaft has a first yoke disposed at an end thereof. The second shaft has a second yoke disposed at an end thereof. The second yoke is connected to the first yoke such that rotation of the first shaft is configured to rotate the second shaft and such that the second shaft is rotatable relative to the first shaft. The clip is removably connected to one of the first shaft and the second shaft. The clip limits rotation of the second shaft relative to the first shaft prior to installation of the steering column assembly in a vehicle.

Polycrystalline diamond power transmission surfaces
Power transmission systems are provided that include polycrystalline diamond power transmission surfaces that are engaged with diamond solvent-catalyst power transmission surfaces. The power transmission systems may be or include gears, universal joints, or other power transmission systems or components.
STEERING MECHANISM OF ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE AND ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE
A steering mechanism of an all-terrain vehicle includes: a steering shaft; a power steering system; and an adjusting mechanism including a ball joint, a first connecting shaft and a second connecting shaft. The first connecting shaft has a first end provided with a first ball groove, the second connecting shaft has a first end provided with a second ball groove, and the first ball groove and the second ball groove each accommodate a partial structure of the ball joint, such that the first connecting shaft and the second connecting shaft are rotatably coupled by the ball joint; and a second end of the first connecting shaft away from the first ball groove is coupled to the steering shaft, and a second end of the second connecting shaft away from the second ball groove is coupled to the power steering system. An all-terrain vehicle is also disclosed.
Connection unit, electric motor, and valve timing change device
A connection unit connected to a rotation body by fitting to transmit a rotation force includes a rotation shaft, having a width across flat portion; and a core member, having fitting portions fitted to the rotation body in a direction perpendicular to the width across flat portion and an annular portion that the width across flat portion are slidably fitted, and held on the rotation shaft to be capable of moving relatively in two dimensions along the width across flat portion while rotating integrally with the rotation shaft. Accordingly, generation of vibration or noise can be prevented, and easiness of assembly work, cost reduction, miniaturization and the like can be achieved.

PERICYCLIC GEAR REDUCER
A pericyclic gear reducer may include a middle planet ring gear coupled between a driver ring gear and a driven wheel utilizing a first prismatic joint on a first side of the middle planet ring gear and a second prismatic joint on a second side of the middle planet ring gear. The pericyclic gear reducer may further include an input shaft rotatably coupled to the driver ring gear and the driver ring gear configured to transfer the rotational movement of the input shaft to the middle planet ring gear. The pericyclic gear reducer may further include an output sun gear coupled to the middle planet ring gear. The output sun gear further rotatably coupled to a central output shaft.
Universal joints and methods of manufacture
A universal joint configured to transfer rotational movement from a first shaft to a second shaft at an angle and method of manufacturing the same.
Surgical tool with a two degree of freedom wrist
Surgical tools having a two degree-of-freedom wrist, wrist articulation by linked tension members, mechanisms for transmitting torque through an angle, and minimally invasive surgical tools incorporating these features are disclosed. An elongate intermediate wrist member is pivotally coupled with a distal end of an instrument shaft so as to rotate about a first axis transverse to the shaft, and an end effector body is pivotally coupled with the intermediate member so as to rotate about a second axis that is transverse to the first axis. Linked tension members interact with attachment features to articulate the wrist. A torque-transmitting mechanism includes a coupling member, coupling pins, a drive shaft, and a driven shaft. The drive shaft is coupled with the driven shaft so as to control the relative orientations of the drive shaft, the coupling member, and the driven shaft.
