Torque-transmitting coupling

A coupling for transmitting torque from a drive to a load has a first connection for connection with the drive, a second connection for connection with the load, and an elastic element for vibration damping and between the first and second connections in the energy transmission path therebetween. An actuator carried on the elastic element has a base body and a centrifugal mass body rotatable relative thereto. One of the two bodies carries an electrical conductor and the other of the two bodies carries a permanent magnet. The conductor is in a magnetic field of the permanent magnet. Thus a flow of current through the conductor makes the centrifugal mass body exert an angular force on the base body to compensate for rotational vibrations.

The shaft-side flange is coaxially connected to the shaft and the second flange is coaxially connected to the second component in a torque-proof manner. The shaft-side flange consists of a dimensionally stable disk-shaped flange part (1, 10, 12). The shaft is directly connected to this disk-shaped flange part (1, 10, 12) in a torque-proof manner, for example, via friction welding. As a result, there is no need to adapt the shaft-side flange to the dimensions of the shaft.

The passages can taper inwardly throughout and provide incremental dampening against the first and second plurality of pins. The plurality of coupler pins can be received in the central hub bores. The first and second plurality of pins can be received by the passages in the elastomeric body.
