POWER TRANSMISSION SHAFT
A power transmission shaft performs a fuse-like function when excessive torque is applied to a power input side. The power transmission shaft includes: a main shaft connected to a power device; flanges connected to the power device and provided at both sides of the main shaft; and a flexible coupling extending in the radial direction of the main shaft. The power transmission shaft includes a power shutoff unit which shuts off power by breaking the main shaft or the flanges when torque greater than a predetermined level is applied. When excessive torque is applied to the power input side, the power transmission shaft performs a fuse-like function with respect to the excessive torque, thereby enhancing safety, preventing sparks from occurring at the time of the breakage, facilitating the production thereof, and effectively preventing vibration while sufficiently supporting the speed or load in the event of a high rotation rate.
Safety device for curtain controller
A safety device for a curtain controller is provided. The safety device comprises a base, a bead chain wheel, and a cover. A shaft sleeve having a conical shape is disposed in a through hole of the base to connect a shaft's terminal and thus be fixed in a sleeving hole, having a shape to fit the shaft sleeve, of the bead chain wheel, so that the motions of the shaft sleeve and the bead chain wheel are linked. A bead chain is wound on the bead chain wheel. When the bead chain is pulled down, the shaft sleeve can drive the rotation of the bead chain wheel. The upper part of the cover is pivotally connected to the base, and the lower part of the cover buckles the base. Therefore, when the bead chain is instantly pulled down, the cover can be opened to drop the bead chain wheel.
Torque-limiting assembly for a surgical powertool
A torque-limiting assembly for a surgical powertool has an input shaft and an output shaft. Two relatively rotatable parts of the assembly are configured to be locked against relative rotation by at least one shearable piece for torque transfer between the input shaft and the output shaft up to a torque limit. The assembly further comprises at least one shear off structure rotationally fixed to one of the two relatively rotatable parts for shearing off a portion of the at least one shearable piece above the torque limit so as to unlock the two relatively rotatable parts for relative rotation.

Two relatively rotatable parts of the assembly are configured to be locked against relative rotation by at least one shearable piece for torque transfer between the input shaft and the output shaft up to a torque limit. The assembly further comprises at least one shear off structure rotationally fixed to one of the two relatively rotatable parts for shearing off a portion of the at least one shearable piece above the torque limit so as to unlock the two relatively rotatable parts for relative rotation.

A valve actuator system includes a gearbox assembly including an output gear for coupling to a valve stem, an input gear operably coupled to the output gear to drive rotation of the output gear and an input shaft operably coupled to the input gear to drive rotation of the input gear, a torque-limiter coupling having a solid body defining a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end including a recessed interior accepting the input shaft of the gearbox assembly, a retainer extending between the torque-limiter coupling and the input shaft to transmit torque therebetween, the retainer operable to disengage the torque-limiter coupling from the input shaft in response to a torque applied to the torque limiter-coupling exceeding a critical torque predetermined to prevent damage to the gearbox assembly, and an actuator operatively coupled to the proximal end of the torque-limiter coupling to provide torque to the torque-limiter coupling.

SAFETY CLUTCH FOR AN AGRICULTURAL VEHICLE
A safety clutch for an agricultural vehicle includes a driven rotational element having a recess and a roller configured to be received in the recess. The roller is configured to move between positions depending on the relative torque between the roller and the driven rotational element such that the roller either drives rotation of the driven rotational element or does not. An actuator moves the position of the roller.
