The present invention provides a disconnector apparatus including: a support ring provided in a differential casing and configured to support a pinion gear mounted therein; a clutch ring having one end penetrating the differential casing, provided in the differential casing, and configured to be coupled to or decoupled from the support ring; an actuator configured to press the other end of the clutch ring to couple the support ring and the clutch ring; and an elastic member coupled to an exposed portion of the clutch ring positioned outside the differential casing, the elastic member having one end in contact with the differential casing and the other end in contact with the actuator.

Methods and systems are provided for a vehicle park lock. In one example, the park lock may be configured with a first portion having a first set of teeth and a second portion having a second set of teeth configured to engage with the first set of teeth. The first portion may be coupled to a rotating part of the vehicle while the second portion may be coupled to a stationary part of the vehicle. The second portion may include actuating devices to actuate the sliding of the second set of teeth, the actuating devices including a motion source, elastic elements, and one or more ramps.

Clutch mechanism for rotary power tool

A clutch mechanism is used in a rotary power tool having a motor. The clutch mechanism includes an input member to which torque from the motor is transferred and an output member co-rotatable with the input member. The output member defines a rotational axis. A cam surface is formed on one of the input member or the output member. First and second compression springs are carried by the other of the input member or the output member for co-rotation therewith. A follower has a circular cross-sectional shape and is biased against the cam surface by the first and second compression springs. In response to relative rotation between the input member and the output member, the cam surface displaces the follower along a line of action coaxial or parallel with each of the first and second compression springs. The line of action does not intersect the rotational axis.

MAGNETIC CLUTCH WITH AN AXIS OF ROTATION FOR ACTUATING A DISCONNECT CLUTCH

A magnetic clutch for actuating a disconnect clutch includes an axis of rotation, an axially fixed stator, an axially movable armature, a torque-axial force converter unit with an armature side and a bearing side, and a rotary brake. The axially movable armature is axially retainable on the stator by a magnetic force from a power supply. The torque-axial force converter unit acts in an antagonistic manner to the magnetic force to hold the armature at an axial distance from the stator. The rotary brake is for effecting a rotational speed difference between the armature side and the bearing side. Other aspects of the disclosure include a disconnect clutch for an internal combustion engine in a hybrid drive train, a hybrid drive train, and a method for controlled closing of the disconnect clutch.

A method of controlling a component of a powertrain of a vehicle is provided. The method comprises calculating an estimated clutch surface friction coefficient as a function of an initial clutch surface friction coefficient, a temperature of the clutch, and a rotational speed difference between a driving part and a driven part of the clutch; and adjusting a command signal to the component of the powertrain based upon the estimated clutch surface friction coefficient. A method of controlling a component of a powertrain of a vehicle comprises: estimating a clutch touchpoint x.sub.ct of a clutch controlled by a clutch actuation system including a ballramp system, based on the variables of the system to determine the translation of the ball for which the clutch will transmit torque; and adjusting a command signal to the component of the powertrain based upon the estimated clutch touchpoint x.sub.ct of the clutch.

Methods and systems are provided for an electromagnetic pulse disconnect assembly. In one example, an electromagnetic disconnect assembly includes an electromagnetic coil assembly including an electromagnetic coil, an armature cam including an annular ring and a plurality of bidirectional cam ramps extending in an axial direction from the annular ring, where the annular ring is adapted to have face-sharing contact with the electromagnetic coil assembly when the electromagnetic coil is energized and be spaced apart from the electromagnetic coil assembly when the electromagnetic coil is de-energized, and a cam follower a plurality of radially extending guides arranged around a circumference of the cam follower and spaced apart from one another via a plurality of elongate apertures, each of the plurality of elongate apertures adapted to receive one of the plurality of bidirectional ramps of the armature cam. The assembly may further include a latching system.
