Filtering device for damping vibrations in a conduit of a hydraulic actuation system for disengaging a clutch

A filtering device includes a tubular outer body with an intermediate chamber containing a pair of cup-shaped valve elements mounted floating and slidable coaxially with opposing cavities in which an axially compressed spring is housed. The first cup-shaped valve element is arranged coaxially outside the second cup-shaped valve element and has a base with a central through opening and a tubular portion with a series of ribs. The second cup-shaped valve element has a perforated base abutting against a perforated plug fixed to one side of the cavity passing towards the master cylinder. The perforated plug forms a through seat that slidably houses an appendage of the second cup-shaped valve element. Passages are formed around the plug that establish fluid communication between the intermediate chamber and a passage to the master cylinder.

A hydraulic cylinder is provided which has a body forming a hydraulic chamber, in which a tubular piston made of thermoplastic material slides. An insert is locked in an internal cavity of the piston and has a spherical seat configured to receive and retain a spherical head of a rod connectable to a control pedal. The insert is made of thermoplastic material and forms a plurality of flexible fins adjacent to the spherical seat. The flexible fins have retaining elements protruding in a radially internal direction to hold the spherical head of the rod. A tensile force exerted by the rod away from the insert is transferred to a body of the piston by a stop ring.

BUILT-IN MAGNETIC FILTER MODULE AND CLUTCH SEPARATION SYSTEM

A built-in magnetic filter module for filtering the working fluids of clutch separation systems, said built-in magnetic filter module comprising an air release valve and a magnetic filtration unit including a housing. The housing includes a pipe section providing passage for the working fluid. The magnetic filtration unit is installed on the circumference of the internal wall of said pipe section, and is configured to contact the working fluid and attract metallic foreign matter from within the working fluid.

CLUTCH ASSIST DEVICE

A motorcycle clutch assist device including a spring arm arranged for rotation or pivoting inside a housing, a biasing device coupled at one end thereof to an axle of the spring arm and at an opposite end thereof to a spring adaptor, and a shaft, one end of which is fixed to the spring arm and an opposite end of which is fixable to the clutch handle, such that the clutch handle rotates about a central longitudinal axis of the shaft and squeezing the clutch handle transfers torque to the spring arm via the shaft, wherein when the biasing device is aligned with the central longitudinal axis no torque is applied by the biasing device, and squeezing the clutch handle causes the biasing device to move past the central longitudinal axis so that the biasing device applies an auxiliary torque to torque applied by squeezing the clutch handle.

Concentric slave cylinder connector

A fluid connector for coupling an associated slave cylinder to a mating connector of an associated high-pressure pipe. The fluid connector includes a unitary one-piece connector body having a male end and a female end, the male end adapted to be received in a port of the associated slave cylinder, the female end adapted to receive a male end of the mating connector of the associated high-pressure pipe.

An easily installed and quick reacting in-line clutch engagement control device for hydraulically actuated power transmission friction clutches. The device allows a simple way to quickly and precisely limit a friction clutch's initial torque capacity to an easily adjustable pre-set level.

Hydraulic valve unit, saddle-type vehicle

A hydraulic valve unit includes a main oil passage configured to bring a side of a master cylinder and a side of a slave cylinder to communicate with each other, and a bypass oil passage configured to bypass a valve mechanism of the main oil passage, wherein the main oil passage and a main section of the bypass oil passage are disposed to be arranged with respective axes aligned with each other, and the main section of the bypass oil passage is disposed at the same height as the main oil passage or at a position higher than that of the main oil passage in a state in which a valve body is attached at a predetermined attachment position.

METHOD FOR DETERMINING AN ANGULAR POSITION OF A ROTATING COMPONENT, IN PARTICULAR OF AN ELECTRIC MOTOR FOR A CLUTCH ACTUATION SYSTEM OF A VEHICLE

A method for determining an angular position of a rotating component is disclosed. A sensor system is positioned at a radial distance from an axis of rotation of the rotating component. A magnetic ring is arranged fixedly and concentrically on the rotating component, generating a magnetic field that changes with respect to the sensor system. The sensor system detects the magnetic field in which a signal is captured and evaluated with respect to the angular position. Errors in the measurement of the angular position can be corrected. The signal captured by the sensor system is evaluated with respect to the amplitude information of the magnetic field. A correction parameter is determined from the amplitude information, and an angle error is of the angular position is determined based on the correction parameter. The angle error is used to correct the angular position.

Valve assembly and system including same for controlling fluid flow to and from a clutch

A system for controlling fluid flow to and from a clutch includes a motor, a pump, and a valve assembly, which includes a housing defining an interior and a first orifice operably coupled to the pump, a second orifice operably coupled to the clutch, and a third orifice fluidly coupled to one of said first and second orifices. A piston is operably coupled to the motor, is disposed within the interior, is movable between a first position for allowing a fluid flow between the first and second orifices, a second position for obstructing the fluid flow between the first and second orifices, and a third position for limiting the fluid flow between the first and second orifices. A biasing member is coupled to the piston, and biases the piston toward the first position when the motor is off. When the pump is activated and a pressure proximate the first orifice is equal to a pressure proximate the second orifice, the motor is energized and moves the piston to the second position. When pressure proximate the second orifice exceeds a predetermined threshold pressure, the energized motor is turned off and the biasing member moves the piston to the first position, or power in the energized motor is reduced and the piston moves to the third position.
