Actuator with declutchable output lever
A flight control actuator for actuating an aircraft flight control system is provided. The flight control actuator comprises a gearbox, an output shaft attached to the gearbox and an output lever provided on the output shaft. The output lever is declutchable from the output shaft. The output lever includes an inner diameter through which the output shaft passes and at least one indentation in said inner diameter. The output shaft includes a hollow cylindrical member with at least one hole provided at the axial position of the at least one indentation of the output lever.
Method of assembling hybrid transmission
A hybrid transmission includes a permanent magnet rotor which is selectively held against rotation by a one-way-clutch. The one-way-clutch utilizes a pocket plate having a plurality of pawls which engages with an inner race in response to energizing a magnetic coil. The pocket plate is fixed to the rotor shaft and restrains the laminates axially, eliminating the need for one of the end plates.

A dual-acting selectable one-way coupling (SOWC) device configured to include a clutch module and an electromagnetic actuator module. The clutch module includes an outer race and an inner race assembly rotatable relative to the outer race. The inner race assembly including a rotatably driven first inner race member, a second inner race member, and compliant connector members drivingly interconnecting the first and second race members. The electromagnetic actuator module includes an electromagnetic actuator operable to releasably engage the second inner race member. An auxiliary locking assembly is operable to independently releasably engage the second inner race member.

A controllable one-way clutch assembly having an actuator module with a direct action configuration provided between a linearly-moveable actuation component of a power-operated actuator and a pivotably moveable locking element. In particular, the actuator module is equipped with a solenoid having an energizeable coil assembly, a linearly-moveable plunger having a tip portion, a strut moveable in response to energization of the coil assembly from a released position to a locked position due to engagement with the tip portion of the plunger, and a strut biasing arrangement biasing the strut toward its released position. In addition, various strut/actuator interface arrangements are provided between the tip of the plunger of the solenoid actuator and the strut to control movement of the strut between its released and locked positions.

A controllable one-way clutch assembly having an actuator module with a direct action configuration provided between a linearly-moveable actuation component of a power-operated actuator and a pivotably moveable locking element. In particular, the actuator module is equipped with a solenoid having an energizeable coil assembly, a linearly-moveable plunger having a tip portion, a strut moveable in response to energization of the coil assembly from a released position to a locked position due to engagement with the tip portion of the plunger, and a strut biasing arrangement biasing the strut toward its released position. In addition, various strut/actuator interface arrangements are provided between the tip of the plunger of the solenoid actuator and the strut to control movement of the strut between its released and locked positions.
Coupling and Control Assembly Including a Non-Contact, Linear Inductive Position Sensor
A coupling and control assembly including a non-contact, linear inductive position sensor is provided. The assembly includes a coupling housing and a stator structure disposed within the coupling housing and including a stator housing. A translator structure is coupled to a coupling member of the assembly to rotate therewith about a rotational axis. The sensor is mounted on one of the housings. The translator structure includes a coupler element made of an electrically conductive material. The sensor is configured to create a magnetic field to induce eddy currents in the electrically conductive material. Movement of the coupler element changes a magnetic field caused by the eddy currents. The sensor provides a position feedback signal for vehicle transmission control. The signal is correlated with the linear position of the translator structure along the rotational axis.
Selectable one-way coupling with debris containment
A selectable one-way clutch includes a clutch module and an electromagnetic actuator module. The electromagnetic actuator module includes an electromagnetic actuator and a strut assembly. The electromagnetic actuator having a coil assembly with a magnetic pole piece. The strut assembly having a strut and a magnetic armature mechanically interconnected to the strut for moving the strut between released and deployed positions in response to energization of the coil assembly. A contamination shroud is disposed between the armature and the pole piece to prevent collection of debris therebetween.

The electromagnetic actuator having a coil assembly with a magnetic pole piece. A contamination shroud is disposed between the armature and the pole piece to prevent collection of debris therebetween.
