A POWERTRAIN FOR A VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A POWERTRAIN IN A VEHICLE
A powertrain for a vehicle is disclosed that includes an electromagnetic driving unit (10) and a transmission module (20) comprising a controllable clutch (21) the powertrain further includes a control system to control the electromagnetic driving unit and to control the clutch. The controller has a safety operational mode wherein it controls an engagement of the controllable clutch with a feedback loop in which a desired extent of engagement is positively correlated to a difference between an extent of slip as indicated by the slip indicator and a positive reference value for said extent of slip, wherein the slip indicator indicates the extent of slip with a sign that is the product of the sign of the difference between the rotational speed of the input shaft and a rotational speed of the output shaft and a desired driving torque sign.

MEAN RATE DECISION METHOD FOR CLUTCH MOTOR
A mean rate decision method for a clutch motor is disclosed. The method includes determining whether the clutch motor and a gear sensor are in an electrical failure state; when it is determined the clutch motor and the gear sensor are not in the electrical failure state, determining whether there is a driver's starting intention on the basis of state information on the clutch pedal; setting a target position of the clutch motor according to a pedal setting value set by the clutch pedal; and when it is determined that there is no driver's starting intention and that an actual position of the clutch motor exceeds the target position of the clutch motor, determining a failure of the clutch motor on the basis of an excess movement amount and an excess duration in the excess state.
METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING CLUTCH STUCK AND APPARATUS THEREOF
A stuck diagnosis apparatus and a method. The method for diagnosing clutch stuck includes allowing a control unit to turn off a clutch actuator after a clutch is engaged by driving of the clutch actuator, allowing the control unit to count a time elapsing from the turn-off time point of the clutch actuator so as to measure a time taken to reach a disengaged state of the clutch for interrupting engine power, and allowing the control unit to determine that the stuck occurs in the clutch when the clutch does not reach the disengaged state within a preset reference time.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TORQUE SHAPING
A vehicle includes controller programmed to receive a driver-demanded wheel torque command and calculate a shaped wheel torque command based on the driver-demanded wheel torque command. The controller is further programmed to, in response to the driver-demanded wheel torque command changing from a first magnitude that is greater than an estimated wheel torque at a last time step to a second magnitude that is less than the estimated wheel torque at a current time step, set the shaped wheel torque to a minimum of a magnitude of the shaped wheel torque at the last time step and an estimated wheel torque at the current time step. The controller is also programmed to command the first and second actuators to produce the shaped wheel torque.

Protecting work machine from damage due to locked state
A work machine comprises an engine, a work unit configured to be driven by the engine, a clutch provided between an output shaft of the engine and a power shaft of the work unit, and configured to transmit or cut off power from the output shaft of the engine to the power shaft, a sensor configured to detect an engine speed of the engine; and a control unit configured to control the engine and the clutch based on the engine speed of the engine. The control unit predicts, based on the engine speed of the engine detected by the sensor, whether or not the work unit will become locked by a load, and control the clutch to switch over from a transmission state to a cut-off state upon predicting that the work unit will become locked.
